Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

Hoping we are one of the other 6 premier league clubs interested in Mason as well as Spurs who appear to be discussing terms already. He is already performing very highly and very consistently for one so young.

You’d hope Liverpool and its Irish roots may have some sway, maybe his family wouldn’t want him in London.

He only has to look at Troy Parrot compared to Seamus Coleman’s pathway.

We can also show with the likes of Branthwaite and Gordon we give young players a stage to play.

No you weren't- you were on about decent Irish talent. You were called out for your erroneous targetting of a great bloke and top blue so you tried to change the goalposts

Erm, no, I’ve said on here for ages (you can search for it) we’ve been appalling at signing Irish youth players over the years.

Signing a 23-year old from Lyon for £17m isn’t remotely what I’m talking about.

Stop defending him - I don’t give a toss what your nationality is.

Didn't we get linked a few months ago, along with Brighton.

A lot of talent coming out of Ireland at the moment, seems they get snapped up pretty quick too

Troy Parrot is doing ok isn't he?

We did yes. Mason is still only 17 (made first team debut at 15) and due to Brexit rules cannot sign a contract with a U.K. club (unless he has U.K. family connections) until he hits 18. As such, the interest will turn into concrete offers over the coming months.

It’s time to make an offer if we can.
