Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

Didnt do much at mk dons or Preston sold to az alkmaar where he seems to have found his scoring boots

4 of his goals have come in a 9-1 win (just checked). I had no idea he had been sold, was highly rated a couple of years ago.

Shows once again how hard it is to pick out the kids who will become stars at a young age. Barkley, Gordon and even Branthwaite were slated for lower division loan spells and all have played for England as they developed.

Swerve. Better options out there. Chequered past and certain Barkley vibes.

Id like to see two - three long term prospects for the future - clever investments - probably ones that wont immediately get into the first team - if possible.

Think someone like Adam Wharton last year.

Someone like Rigg at Sunderland.

We need to start challenging clubs like Spurs, Brighton even Palace for these players.

Also help us with the contract cliff we have coming in the summer.

Those types of players are going to want game time even if its off the bench. Bergvall and Gray were signed by Spurs and went straight on the bench and Wharton signed and straight into the Palace team. They won't look twice at us if we say to them 'Oh you have to go on loan for a season or into the under21's for a bit" when they can go somewhere else and actually play football.

He would go straight onto our bench, not the under 21s. He’s been playing first team football in the Championship which is many, many levels above U21 football. He’d be like Iroegbunam, would come in and out of the side at different times.

That's grand mate, ive no prob with lads getting mins and an opportunity and if they earn a starting shirt more the better - the point was more on profile and market as opposed to integration. I suppose my thinking is instead of targeting 39 year old full backs or the Donny Van Der Beeks of this world - broaden the base with this type of profile if resources are at play and i mean if.

Jan i think offers an opportunity as i think most clubs have budgeted and dont really like to have to do business in that window unless they have to - you can steal a march - like Palace did with Wharton.

Not so sure we dont have selling points for lads of that profile, we can point to likes of Tim, Garner - who we have brought in and through to be PL players. Branthwaite and Gordon are England internationals - we have developed a good track record in recent years - in and around this profile and giving lads an opportunity.

Kaua Elias linked, Brazilian 17 year old forward.
All these 17 year old Brazilians are proper money laundering jobs by agents.

They very rarely actually do any good

Likes of Fabrizio Romano generate the interest and clubs fall for it, get a nice cut too.

Vitor Roque
Marcos Leonardo
Luis Guillherme
Andrey Santos
Angelo
Matheus Franca
Wesley
Deivid Washington
Pedro Lima
Gustavo Nunes

All much of a muchness

He actually looks quite decent tbf, shades of Gyokeres about him imo seems to be quite central but can dribble past players.
