Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

All these 17 year old Brazilians are proper money laundering jobs by agents.

They very rarely actually do any good

Likes of Fabrizio Romano generate the interest and clubs fall for it, get a nice cut too.

Vitor Roque
Marcos Leonardo
Luis Guillherme
Andrey Santos
Angelo
Matheus Franca
Wesley
Deivid Washington
Pedro Lima
Gustavo Nunes

All much of a muchness
Reminds me of the scam they had going years ago where bog standard domestic players would pick up caps in meaningless friendlies because “Brazilian international” would massively ramp the price. Except now instead of having to bribe the national team manager you just need to bung Fabrizio instead.

I never said he was a scout. I said he should be convincing young talent this is the place to be, not Brighton, where they seemingly all end up.

….i’d imagine he was involved in the Jake O’Brien deal and we’ve also acquired a few promising youngsters from Ireland in the past 12 months or so. I’d be surprised if Coleman wasn’t an influence.

O’Brien himself has confirmed Coleman was involved

…cheers, I thought that was the case especially given the greeting Coleman gave him at FF.

Looks like we beat Brighton for Braiden Graham who looks a real talent;

Id like to see two - three long term prospects for the future - clever investments - probably ones that wont immediately get into the first team - if possible.

Think someone like Adam Wharton last year.

Someone like Rigg at Sunderland.

We need to start challenging clubs like Spurs, Brighton even Palace for these players.

Also help us with the contract cliff we have coming in the summer.

All depends on who the next manager is but if we look at how Roma brought in De Rossi and the new DOF with the aim of bringing in younger players then Chris Rigg makes sense.

In the summer Garner will have a year left & Iroegbunam 2. They both need their contracts extended.

I'd look at Rigg and perhaps try for Angel Gomes in Jan as he'll be able to sign a precontract ageeement.

If we have big money then go for Wharton and Rigg. Today weve also been linked with Hugo Larsson.

Obviously we need a couple more wingers so thats something to keep in mind unless we change formation.

Rigg is a mad Geordie. If/When he leaves the Mackems, its pretty obvious where he's likely to end up, local rivalry or not.

Yeah tend to agree, but then you have the ones like Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Carlos, Cafu, Kaka, - even Richy who arrive over in europe for pretty big money and show they're capable of becoming great players. (Well Richy isn't but still very very good)

No idea really about Elias, seems to be rated, looks brilliant on YouTube (which honestly should only be used to judge a player as atrocious if they can't make them look good)

Rigg is the one I really want, get Pickford in his ear...

Pay 25m for that lad without any qualms - gonna be an absolutely top class player in a few years

Those types of players are going to want game time even if its off the bench. Bergvall and Gray were signed by Spurs and went straight on the bench and Wharton signed and straight into the Palace team. They won't look twice at us if we say to them 'Oh you have to go on loan for a season or into the under21's for a bit" when they can go somewhere else and actually play football.

Rigg would play for us mate, within a season he'd be one of the first names on the team sheet as well
