Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

I think that if we had a sell-on from Wigan then if Wigan receive a % when Fulham sell him we would receive a % of that %, if you see what I mean.
I see what you mean, but that just seems crazy to me. Why would we get a % of that Fulham fee. I would think our involvement would be ended when we picked up our sell on when Wigan sold him to Fulham. I don't see why we would have anything to do with Fulham's eventual sale.

Surely terms would always have to be agreed in advance if an option is to be exercised in the future.

If Harrison really was preventing us from getting a far superior much needed loan, then we would always have the option of paying him off. It would be expensive, but it would also be the exact same cost as keeping him on for another six months.

On a loan with obligation yes, but on a loan with option it's highly unusual

That's just how I've seen it reported, that Wigan's final fee includes whatever sell-on they get and we are on a percentage of that final fee. I don't know if it's true but it's why we've been reported to still have an interest

Because prob sold him for that little prob wont be a massive amount but like godrey every but of money coming in will help

It can be included in a sell on, a so called additional sell on but it's highly unusual
Yeah, and I'm by no means saying that Echo article is gospel. But particularly when we sold him for a fairly low fee I can see why the lawyers would draft it as a percentage of "all monies received" rather than just any initial fee, for just this potential situation.

I wouldn't rule out...

DCL permanent departure
Broja permanent addition
Ferguson loan
Yeah dont think so if you think broja will be a permanent addition now, is not a chance. First the dof and manger has both questions if be here next season. Two if we even have the money to buy him sure was alot of money, has not done anything to show is worth even buying him atm. The cf postion will not get looked at until we sell one this window will be fb winger and attacking mid u less we sell a cf then maybe one comes in.
