On a short term deal, as a bench option who can give 30 minutes and start occasionally, I'd almost say yes.

He's well past his best but he has more quality in the final third, when given time on the ball, than our entire squad combined.

It would depend on the wage costs really.

Would instantly improve our attacking options. Even at 37. Sad state of affairs.

This is the mentality every year and 100% of the time it leads to us scrambling around on deadline day and getting nobody, or wastes of space like Dele Alli. If that’s Thelwell’s mindset then sack him today.

It’s just become the Everton way , same as we appoint a firefighter manager in January “to keep us safe and keep us up as the priority then we can go for it next year “ . Rinse and repeat in 12 months , exactly like you say with the transfers . It’s a recipe for disaster .

We absolutely cant bring in players for the sake of it the marker now has top be quality - in recent years we've brough ineffective attackers like Beto, Maupay, Danjuma, Harrison and Lindstorm - we have to stop this it isnt about bodies in quickly its about quality.

I mean they get sep-oct-nov-December to look for players we haven’t just needed them all of a sudden and if thelwell hasn’t got a list of players or they’re not listening to his list wtf we paying him for. 16 days into a window still no movement another Everton performance that’s lacked any quality which has been the issue for 3 years now. Yet here we are starting Doucoure DCL, Young, Harrison, Mykolenko again and bringing Beto, Lindstrom off the bench all crap and not good enough
