Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

No indication that this is actually in our plans, but if money is available but PSR is an issue, is it at least possible to make signings now but with payment deferred until the next the next PSR window?

I think Chilwell and Ferguson could be enough.

Those two and a pacy right winger and I think we’d be safe by Easter
Ones currently still injured the other hasn't played this season.

Not sure how either get us safe by the end of march like.

As for the need to go try find a striker, if we are t selling him, then we currently have one whose got a 1/3 strike rate and whose goals per minutes at us reflects that. Beto.

If we start him he'll chip in with that rate, it'd be a far better option than getting rid now and then spending another load of money on a panic buy of another striker who has zero guarantee of not being worse.

Dyche was wedded to playing DCL because his system demanded it - Moyes system usually relies on a striker running the channels, something Beto is probs my better at than DCL due to being pretty fast and having bags of energy too.

Is he the mong term solution, hell no, is he good enough if he starts to grab 5-7 goals over the second half of the season - yup.

Buying some dross just to feel like we are doing something would be stupid as hell, all it does it create a future unsellable player on the squad we need to get shut off.

Yeah me too but if you look at their time at Roma apart from this season and the first. Theyve practically spent nothing and sold alot.

Personally these arent the owners to be spending money. They are investors and want a return on what they've put into the club

Not sure. Show me the saleable assests at Everton now, very few, a lot of turds which can't be polished.
Much less return on your money in the Championship. Maybe time for an investor/investors to invest and protect their investment......

We will struggle massively to find a new striker, not much going about and many teams want a striker..would not surprise me if we go with what we got = DCL, Beto and hopefully soon Chermitti
