They had 2 players who cost more (what Everton paid anyway) than our entire match day squad when we played them.

We need to do likewise - hopefully we spend it well.

To be fair you could spend half that, if done well, and shoot up the league. We don’t box clever anymore in the market. Some signing like Ndiaye and Garner look decent value but it’s up top we’ve flopped hard. £25m on Beto still seems like a fever dream.

For years we've not been able to buy who we'd like. It's had to be after we've sold, and players upfront for £0.

Beto wouldn't have been signed otherwise.

honestly feel like a broken record saying it. I agree Thelwell should be judged, but also think it is a bit early to completely turn on him. We have been in shambles

I suspect we have money to spend, and the new owners will, however it will have to be within the constraints of PSR. I think it'll be a slower, more frugal build.

Will we spend in this window? I consider it more unlikely than likely.

70 million for ten players? All of those look good value except for Maupay and possibly Beto but the only reason he was signed is because they deferred any payment for 12 months. That’s literally buttons spent on the others. You’d have to be incredibly lucky to get 10 players for 70 million who are genuine quality.

70 million on 10 players would have you challenging for Europe in pretty much any other league. We've wasted a shedload on dross.
