Beto to stay now?

Seems like we’d have to keep him now at least through the end of the season after Dom’s injury. I know Beto wouldn’t want to start at the expense of an injured player, but he has his opportunity. It’s up to him to show what he’s got. I feel like we’ve pretty much seen it all. Hopefully he can find the back of the net a few times this season with more time on the pitch to work with rather than the last 15’ of a match.

I couldn’t tell you the list mate to be honest. But Nuamah would be an Everton player by now had circumstances been different regarding the manager change.

I'm not sure it isn't such a bad thing he isn't an Everton player tbh mate judging by his stats. They didn't exactly scream "hit the ground running"

I hadn’t seen any updates besides they were going to be tested and scanned today or tomorrow. Has it been confirmed that they are a month?

DCL is a hamstring mate even the most optimistic prognosis will be a month firva low grade tear.

Mangala the way the knee bent inwards, it's ligament damage and again even if he's massively lucky it's gonna be a minimum month out

Chermiti and Beto were signed 18 months ago too.. yet we still need a striker …

I don’t see us signing one even though a agree we are seperate for one

In a "normal " club Chermiti would not have been near the first team for quite some time after signing.

We had such a threadbare squad that he was involved with the first team long before he was ready.
I thought this season from the little we saw of him that he was finally beginning to look like someone who could influence a game. The injuries have been so disappointing for him and a set back to his career.

I think we will probably have to wait until next season to see what he is capable of.

It’s a last minute dash due to change of manager. It knocked us back a week with Moyes wanting to have a look at the market and be heavily involved in the recruitment.

Do you know if they are taking a look in the south American market at all? Not talking about specific players, but are they looking?

Can't think of many places we might be able to pull some decent players from at the moment tbh.

That's not really true, he had consistently good form with Palace. He was also in and around the England squad, despite Sven preferring to give opportunity to those at 'big clubs'.

When we signed him, all the clubs vying for the Europa league spots were interested. Bolton, Wigan, West Ham.

Exactly, no big clubs were in for him. We needed a champions league level striker (like Rom) and we would have finished top 4 easily under Moyes. But we had to take punts on average players. Even a Defoe level striker would have improved us. But we never had the cash. None of the top 4 had nah interest in Andy Johnson even as a back up. Don't get me started on Beattie.

But needs must now , he's been here 2 weeks thats enough time to assess the squad and what's needed. But he knew that from day one.

2 to 3 additions in the obvious positions are required right now .

Arguably the 'best' striker he had was Bent and that was because he essentially ran himself ragged every game.

Want to be careful with that MEGA slogan in your name mate. PED from toffeetv was banning people from his channel for saying it in their chat...then 5 minutes later was begging for subscribers

Regardless I still think we wont sign anyone before the end of the window. Just have a feeling unless its a amazing deal we cant turn down or maybe a mad free like William for cover but noting to get excited about.
