Moyes has to back himself - short term need now can be someone whose part of that big summer rebuild for the future. Get the right lads in and come next season it's a couple less that you need to adjust to a new team etc.

Interesting to know just how much TFG have said they're willing to back him for in the Summer/Jan though or if it's literally a sum for both added together and he can spend it now or wait etc.

I think there will be money to spend, but we don't know how tight we might be on PSR. New stadium, sponsorships, first full year of not paying back ridiculous debt (as well as circa 60m on wages+ amortisation) coming off next year gives us a lot more wriggle room.

Like I don't think they want to put us in a position where we have to sell a Brainthwaite for below what he's worth.

Tbf most of the last UTD managers have had a problem with one player most seasons. Off the top of my head rashford, sancho, ronaldo, zaha (he had red hair but we dont care) pogba. I would have rashford if we could afford his wages, but saying that neymar is a free agent too haha

We could actually sign him. We know DCL is off in the summer so we'll need a new striker then anyway.

Say you got him for around 30 mil on a 4.5 year deal, it would only be around 3 mil on this year's PSR.
