Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

It will probably be Moyes' post-match presser on Saturday when we will get an indication of any activity, and even then he'll have to be guarded and with the usual caveats.

It's generally a pointless exercise expecting news before TDD itself. Deals get done either early in the window, or late.

The day itself is awful, and better to check in the evening for some reasonable chance of news.

Close to impeccable regardless of money you’ve got to be kidding? About £30m wasted on Beto and chermiti alone then add Maupay to that £40m completely wasted on strikers. Harrison on 2 loans Broja, iroegbunam was some weird deal between us and villa which if he can stay fit looks a decent deal but strange non the less. O’Brien again was he really a target or that deal through textor? Danjuma, coady, vinagre I wouldn’t call it impeccable about 6/7 of them have literally just been body’s to fill a squad and offered very little.

Why dont you list the actual signings down.

See how many there are that hes made (we know he didnt sign Maupay) and come back with a % of players we'll lose money on or make money on.

Maybe gives them more money go out get cunha from wolves or another striker.
Yeah possibly, its a lot of work for Forest to get through in a few days, but that would make sense if they brought someone like Cunha in, he could be available.

Maybe a weird little PSR shift around we could sell them Joao Virginia for £60m

Goals to appearances is such a weird way to look at things.

Considering he has played a grand total of 253 minutes. Which is a total of less than 3 games across 20 appearances meaning 12.6 minutes on average a game, while playing Dycheball.
Its a good way to go about things when i am trying to reaffirm my point.

I will use goals to minutes when i want to reaffirm my point Chermiti hasn't been given much game time.

Or.....................i could argue for the outlay we put in for him, he hasn't fulfilled his potential yet, which makes him a poor signing.

Marcus Edwards to play on the RW and one of those strikers coming in would be decent.
I have seen a few websites mention Taiwo Awoniyi, obviously not getting starts at Forrest, I could see him wanting a move away, he was an academy player for Liverpool (though never played a competitive game and was constantly loaned out). He has got the potential to be a 10 plus goal a season striker
Awoniyi been injured more than he's been fit at Forest, swerve

What time is everyone thinking of switching from “maybe they’re just going about their business quietly” to “ah god, we’re doing absolutely nothing again”?

Definitely some point in the next 24 hours for me but undecided whether to wait for morning or just do it before I go to bed.

Your defence of his record is a little baffling.

I’ve said myself I think he’s done a reasonable job in the circumstances but he’s hardly faultless is he??

You, me, nobody in here truly know which players were 100% his. To say otherwise is speculation and disingenuous (despite what Bobble says). There’s zero chance anyone comes through the door without him having a certain degree of sign off, I promise you that.
