Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

I said exactly that to my geordie mate when the transfer was happening.

Our fans didn't seem arsed, theirs seemed excited. He gets to play in a system that suits him and we got to clear PSR issues.

We often mock the horse punchers and rightly so, but if you wonder why the nexus act Mike they are a bigger club than us, look at the last twenty years, we sold them Ferguson, Speed and Gordon.

We bought nothing off them.

Yeah they spent time as a yo yo club, but even during that period we'd play like a feeder club to them whenever the cane knocking.

Last thirty years of Everton have been a case of a historic club pretending it's still relevant.

Unless that perception changes we will go another 30 years without winning jack [Poor language removed].

I imagine it would be between £15m - £20m that a deal gets done for him. Which is reasonable in my view when comparing figures that get bandied about for players.

I reckon they ask for £30m though.would do a job this season and next. Then become a decent squad player.
The only way this fella is worth £15-20m is if there's a stolen Renoir in his backpack.

We bought Deulofeu and Gomes off Barcelona.

They've bought nothing off us.

Get in.

Interesting, trying to think of other clubs we have sold too, but not bought off.

I dont think it means anything really.

Like Fulham, my memory doesnt let me think of anyone we bought, but we have sold them at least a few.

Meh, pointless with my memory.

I’ve had a chat with Kevin Thelwell and the new owners, and we’ve decided there isn’t any value in the market this window, so we’ll go with that we’ve got until the summer…

They still haven't won the league for 97 years regardless.
