Player Valuation: £100m
Off the right usually. At least that's what I remember him doing for Brazil and I thought Porto. What position does he play then?

Are his wages extortionate? I mean Spurs aren’t great payers really are they, he’s no doubt on less than a lot of our players like Bernard or Mina. The key for me is where would he fit in, would we have to play a particular system that suits him rather than the team?Plus Levy isn't letting him go for serious money and then his extortionate wages make it even less attractive as a proposition
You also have to acknowledge the depth Spurs have. Moura, Bergwihn, Gedson etc all below the first team. With us you are really looking at Bernard and Tosun. Their players are much better in reserve. In midfield it's Lo Celso and Ndombele. For us it would be Sigurdsson and Gomes
They have also built around Son and Kane. Alli's face doesn't fit.
For us he would be a starter. Clearly the Mourinho approach didn't work and he doesn't need him. Not sure the same would be true here.
Not sure on Dele Alli.
2016/17 was his peak...2017/18 still very good but i think hes been on the way down since then.
Seemed to be in the papers alot with his gf and maybe just done a bit of a John Stones...
Well thats all true, but he is only 24. I mean you can't always assume every play improves until they are 25, has 5 top years then declines. But there is probably some short term mean regression that can happen with Alli.
I think a loan deal makes a lot of sense. His wages won't be that high at Spurs (even if we had to cover all of them) and at his best he's shown he is close to being world class already (people were talking of him being a 100m player). He has struggled for a couple of years, but as you guys say, sometimes you "buy the dip". I don't see much downside on an initial loan deal.
Formalising an agreement, for what would likely be a big fee becomes more challenging.
Likely he wants game time. However would he want to come up North to us, not guaranteed game time.

If he comes he will play.

Where would Ali play?
He is not a winger nor a CM. We ready have a 10
People slate Barkley yet he looks very good at Villa - sometimes a move elswhere is needed for players who go stale at their club.
He does come across as a bit of a tit but as I said previously our squad quality is awful outside of the starting 11 so we are in no position to be turning our noses up at a player with the potential quality of Ali.
Ali Ali Ali
OI! OI! OI!
Hope we sign Alli so he can be roundly booed in 6 months time
If he comes! Now who will make way?
