Wouldn't make a ton of sense, Digne is meant to be back end of January-ish and hasn't had in injury problem previously that I can recall.Looks like Brands is leaning on the Barcelona relationship again for a left back if rumours of Junior Firpo are to be believed. I don't know if he's any good or not.
The Cahill reference is quite apt - not quite the gun slinger Cahill was but both have a bit of snide about them With an eye fof goal coming from deep. Having him ,richy and Dom in around the box for crosses coming in would be quite interesting. Would add goals from midfield (assuming he plays in front of Allen and doucoure) But would we be left light on work rate In midfield. An interesting one if it came offI mean there's a lot in that. Unlike Sigurdsson he gets goals mainly in open play, he's quicker, bigger, stronger and probably a bit more creative than Sigurdsson. I think he's got a lot of the Cahill about him, maybe not the attitude but more natural gifts than Tim had.
Your personal preference may be for a DM, and longer term that may be what we look for, but in the short term from January any improvement would be good. He would be a big improvement on what we have.
He can also fill in up front, which I wonder if part of the thinking. I do get the comment above they prefer it to be Richarlinson, but if they want a third option he can be it. He did it bit for Spurs last year and if I remember looked quite good doing it.
As with RB and DM position, I would agree but I think it misunderstands the nature of the January window. It is very rare you are going to get the solutions to a major problem. You are very unlikely to get a soution to your problems. If one exists, in honesty you are going to let them sweat on it, as the price is likely to go down by the time the summer comes.
A lot then assume it's a window you do nothing. I'm not so sure. This year in particular will see a lot of caste offs available, and in truth it is a window for taking caste offs. As caste offs go, on a 6 month loan arrangement, at 24 with wantiong to get back into that England team, he ticks a lot of boxes for me. I'm not saying we go and plunge £50m on him, but if he's available on loaning, paying some of his wages, it's a no brainer.
We are lacking squad depth as well. Who knows where the squad will be come January, but with the potential of a semi final in the league cup, and hopefully an FA Cup game, it is a yes for me.
Finally I do appreciate he is not a £100m player now, but that is his ceiling. It's a higher ceiling than almost all of our existing players. I don't know if you can get him close to being right, but it's a low risk high reward option.
He has scored 9, 5 & 8 since that 17 goal season. The big thing for me though, is they are mostly in open play, that is a fantastic goalscoring record, and very Cahill esque.

Coleman on the other hand? He's basically shot and keeps getting injured on international duty. I get he's captain of his national team but he is not doing his club any favors at the moment.
....linked with Boulaye Dia, with Ancelotti talking about giving DCL a rest I can see somebody like him being on next months shopping list.

I wonder if it means Tosun is going in January. I've seen some talk to Hulk too. There may be something in a striker coming in. I also wonder if Alli makes sense, as he can cover CF as well.
Id take Ali on loan all day long, player with something to prove and the euro's coming up.
Khediera can get in the bin though, makes gylfi look like usain bolt.
It looks like a loan deal.
Levy has made a mess of a few transfers recently, and given he's not involved, we could probably pick him up in January for covering a portion of his wages.
Just mentioned it earlier, Levy is looking at trying to get him out on an 18 month loan deal and has put that to PSG.
And he cooks beans by heating them in the microwaveIf you watched the spurs documentary he’s lazy in training
Not sure that is the type of player we need right now
I mean Levy is negotiating from a difficult place I think.
With very little fee involved initially, an 18 month loan deal could also work out.
