Kheidera hasn’t played for Germany in 2 years and hasn’t played for Juventus this season. He was diagnosed with a heart problem last year. I would imagine it would take him a good few months to get match fit.

Regarding the new rules that come into force on 1st Jan re foreign transfers, would he be eligible for a Work Permit?

Having watched Lille a lot over the past 18 months, Çelik would be my preference and may well be available in their impending firesale (Mæhle and Emerson up there as well). But if we could get Aarons for 22-25m I think that'd represent a solid long-term investment for someone who's touted as a generational talent.

I'd be intrigued to know if there's any scope to take advantage of the weak bargaining position some of these French clubs will find themselves in. I'm thinking that if we go in for anyone it should be a cash plus "player we don't want / need" offer: Here's £8m plus Besic for (insert player name here). You don't want Besic? Ok, well then the offer is £7m cash.

That's for the average job in the street...rules for footballers from the eu will not be that different anymore than when trying to sign players from the rest of the world...and we know over the years that it hasn't been easy at times to get those work permits.

Gomes, Davies, Delph and Gbamin (injured for over a year) there at the moment as backup.

I agree with you, but it was on the FA's website a few weeks ago. It's a similar, points based system, to that imposed on non-EU players.

Been very good this season for Norwich, albeit in the Championship. Linked with Bayern, Juventus etc in the summer. The lad definitely has something and for 30m i would go in for him.

What would you class as a good goals and assists haul for a fullback after 20 games? More importantly, are they really the most important metrics for a fullback?
