I think you’re getting the wrong end of the stick Friend. I’m saying we have 4 players we could not sell, of which DCL is one of.

I don’t think anyone is irreplaceable, but those four (DCL, Alan, James & Richarlison) would be very difficult to replace. I actually think Digne is more replaceable than those 4. IMO it’s the system that suits him as much as his talent.

Fair enough, perhaps I misunderstood.

Took us quite a while, and no small amount of luck, to finally replace Rom. I hope it would take 9 figures for them to even entertain selling Dom. It took a while for me to believe, but I am firmly in his corner now. He could be truly great over the next 5-6 seasons.

The Athletic have linked us to Weghorst and Mateta, not sure the former would want to come here and be back up, Mateta would be make more sense as he's young, and been linked a few times since Brands came in

Interesting. Always have time for the Athletic, if any transfer rumours are worth a listen its probably theirs.

Either in this window or next summer we need a right back and a centre forward. Max Aaron’s looks good but Norwich may not want to sell.
Dont know if anyone we would want is available for CF. No doubt looking at France for these positions.

The manager obviously doesn't think Nkounkou is ready so I think we need another LB with another string to his bow either as a CB or winger as he won't get much game time once Digne is back. I also think a right forward is needed which would give us more options potentially moving James inside also someone to put on bench. If we can move Kenny on I would also bring in a RB.

Will be interesting to see in Jan whether clubs are more restrained and/or desperate - especially in the Championship or abroad. As before I can't see us increasing the squad unless we start to move others on - Delph, Bernard, Tosun, Davies, Gomes, Kenny have only been sparingly used this season. Davies and Kenny probably don't cost so much to keep around but the other 5 could free up wages.
