Everton January transfer window 2021

I think the targets they'll have in January and that of the summer may be very different.

It isn't impossible to nab a top target in January but its far less likely and there are more hurdles.

I see January as a bit of a make-do month, not go with what we've got either, but use the loan market and try to ensure we have more cover where needed.

With the season going as it is, it would actually be negligent not to strengthen the squad. I don't think any significant money will be spent though.

I'm fine with older/experienced players on short-term deals even if on big wages, if they can help get us through the remainder of the season in good shape.

Same. And his season this year is showing that the goal scoring thing was just a weird anomaly and not an actual hole in his game.

He's back in the Championship this year mate. Some players just cannot make the step up to the Prem - not saying he won't but it's a big jump and he didn't cover himself in glory last season, although appreciate the same could have been said for Godfrey.

There's a clear financial difference.
I will grant you that
But the likes of Tosun and Besic still hanging around draining wages ( as Sandro done for years ) is soul destroying
There is a chance you will shift some of the English tosh because they are English but the foreign tosh will not leave because they know they will not get the wages on offer here anywhere else
Klassen is the exception that proves the rule
At least he put his career and happiness above money
