I don’t think we would or should go for Zaha.

His age and fee don’t make it attractive and I also think if he came then we’d have an awful time of refs giving decisions against us. Refs currently don’t give Richy half of what he deserves for fouls on him, if you add Zaha into that then we’d get a reputation and unfairly so as I think Zaha is also fouled a lot but doesn’t get all the decisions.

We need someone like him but from abroad where we could get them for cheaper and younger than the PL premium tax that you have to pay these days

I like his highlights vid. He's the type of player I've always loved but he could go either way in the prem. A total star or kicked into oblivion.

I'd actually be inclined to lean towards the latter. There's a host of premier league defenders who'd enjoy polishing their boots on his arse.

Either Right Back or Defensive Midfield. Sure we can play Holgate/Godfrey there but neither can hit a cross, and Coleman is one of the oldest members of the squad.

DM - Not sure I have that much hope for Gbamin, Allan needs to be freed up and Doucoure is a decent player, but he's not really the DM I'm looking for. The fact we have to play Sigurdsson, Gomes, Davies rotating through that role, seems like a problem area for me.

Striker - I think between Richarlison and DCL we're ok, probably need a backup striker in case both go down, in that case I'd go for a cheaper low risk but hard working player.

To be wholly fair to Mr Moshiri he's put his money and more where his mouth is and spent shedloads of big money. He's brought in an expensive and proven DoF and done the unimaginable and brought in a true legend of World football in Mr Ancelotti. Add to that the money and weight he's throwing behind BMD and his close relationship with Uncle Usmanov......

If thats a lack of ambition then I'm gob-smacked.....absolutely gob-smacked.

Anthony has only been at Ajax for half a year. So can not see him wanting to leave.
Besides Ajax will clean us out for an inflated price for him so it aint happening.
As you say he is yet to prove himself. No way Brands will do that (pay 25/30 mill).
Would rather go for Neres as he is a full international. But has been dogged by injuries of late.

Hmmmm no! This is probably the best opportunity we have had in many years to get into the top four, we need to take advantage.

James and Allen are great signings that will take us for a further two to three years hopefully.

we bring in youth and promising world class players, how long to you think we will keep them for? unless we are challenging now, maybe two to three years?

Although we agree on building to a point, we will lose Rico in the summer if we don’t get champions league football, fine lines.... so we need to have success now, not also runs finishing 7th to 10th with a very promising youth team every year!

Antony is better than Neres already and will be in the full squad pretty soon.

Emerson + Antony could be our right flank :o
