I think its madness to bring in Zaha at £50/60mil.

For that price you can sign Camavinga. Alternatively you could possibly get both Antony and Emerson to add options down the right.

We need to focus not only on the short term but also on summer 2022. From now till then we'll have had 15 or so players leave the club.

Almost all of the rotation/back up options arent good enough. There has to be a 2nd 11 of young players to come in to rotate and develop to really build a long term champions league team.

The young players we have around the squad (who have had games) are

GK: Virginia
LB: Nkounkou
LCB: Branthwaite
LF: Gordon
CF: Kean

We need to be adding players to this list...

If it must be 'first team ready' then Aouar or Guimaraes are a little older and would be likely starters

But what if both those players dont adapt to the Prem?

Arsenal fans would have said the same over Zaha "madness what Palace want for that money we could go get that Pepe lad who's younger and scored 25 goals in France"

Spurs could have said the same RE Doucoure and went for Ndombele.

More often than not the flavour of the month signings from oversea's often dont hit the ground running which is what I would want if we are signing someone in January to help us seal a top 4 finish.

Most if not all deals are stretched over a few seasons.

We spent the Kean and Richarlison money in the Summer.

We cant keep spending without any thought of where the moneys coming from, sure Mosh has been eager, but at some point, FFP will come home to roost.

We need Outs, then we can see.

But our ffp has been wiped by moshiri investing the money he did 2 weeks ago. So the kean and richarlison money hasn't been spent at all. I know that was mainly done to help secure funding for BMD but it has wiped the ffp too.

Personally I doubt we will buy anyone in January unless someone fantastic becomes available or a decent loan comes about but I do think that the money is there if it is needed.

To be wholly fair to Mr Moshiri he's put his money and more where his mouth is and spent shedloads of big money. He's brought in an expensive and proven DoF and done the unimaginable and brought in a true legend of World football in Mr Ancelotti. Add to that the money and weight he's throwing behind BMD and his close relationship with Uncle Usmanov......

If thats a lack of ambition then I'm gob-smacked.....absolutely gob-smacked.

I was talking about the current situation where we are second in the league and looking to cement a top 4 position and possibly challenge for the title? Is this not a time to bring in at least one or two signings seeing as we have often injured players like delph, Gbamin, James, Allan etc.

There’s no guarantee that future seasons will go any better than this.
