Like in 08 or 07 January sitting 4th didn't sign anyone and fell out of European places.

Golden opportunity to make top 4 with a couple of quality signings. With a back log of fixtures and the teams around us in Europe. Great chance for us to break in

What opportunities are you speaking of exactly?

I don't know if i'm misunderstanding and he means opportunities to buy specific players, but if he means opportunities to move forward because of a good signing or 2 then it's pretty common to be fair. Even last season I think we were only 2/3 points off a European place in January but then fell away massively. I'd say there was an opportunity to get ourselves into Europe if we'd been able to bring in the right player at that point.

I don't see the need now. Might aswell stick with Godfrey until Digne is fit. In my opinion. Williams done OK when I've seen him. Aggressive but no better defensively than Godfrey, maybe slightly better going forward but ultimately less experienced too.

A loan would be very, very, weird considering Digne's supposedly back in about a week. Can't see how that would make sense to any party.

FC Dallas is quite possibly the best producer of talent we have over here. Reynolds is very highly thought of. Only 19. 7mil is quite the investment from Juve as he is still pretty unproven.

Both of them are products of the same academy. Juve seems to be very happy with McKennie, so maybe they figure it's worth going straight to the source this time.

McKennie looks a beast of a player in that Juve team. Few blues on twitter raved about him and fully right.

With Utd these days its about trying to ensure you have little or no time left to sign an alternative after they mess you about, whilst they string you along.

Not that missing out on Rojo / Romero was worth crying about, but they are a club that should be swerved as much as possible in the market.

They see us as competition. I think they have every right to act the way they do. I actually take it as a huge compliment for Everton.
