Everton January transfer window 2021

The Lingard one is an interesting situation thoguh. They wanted to sell him for 40m. They have ended up loaning him for nothing. Lingard is an England international, who starred at a world cup with 20 odd caps. And they are loaning him out for no fee at present.

There is something to be said about the type of loans we have had. In fairness the PSG loan for Kean is a really good one. Brainthwaite and Blackburn the same. We are getting better but still some work to go.

I'm not saying you're wrong that we can't do better, but it's a market where prices are falling fast, and we have a load of end of the line, unwanted stock.

Its a 3 mill deal mate. 1.5 loan fee for the four months and 1.5 mill taken on his wage, thats for a four month loan deal its better then selling him for 40 mill, just under a million a month. I think you are stretching it a bit saying he starred at the world cup and im pretty sure if he came out of another clubs academy he would not have been capped by England in my honest opinion. Same way if Ossie had come through at Utd i think he would have gotten more England caps.

We're awful at out mate and we really need to drill down into where its going wrong, these boomerarng loans are just no value in the long term and overall deplting in of value.

Overall the Tosun deal is useless, but it part of a wider problem with our transfer dealings.

I mean getting £1.5m for a loan is absolutely not better than selling for £40m is it, that’s an absolutely ludicrous take.

30 hours for Brands to save his job
You know, I've been thinking, maybe Moshiri is as unhappy with the squad still being loaded with wasters as we are. Maybe that's why Brands hasn't got a new contract and Mosh has given him this window and the next to prove his worth. No idea if it's true, but I would think if Moshiri thought he was doing a stellar job, he would have signed a new contract by now.

I guess the point is they extended his contract so they may still get £40m (ambitious but who knows) in the next window plus the £1.5 fee and freed up wages.
Well counting the freed up wages is wrong anyway, because they obviously wouldn’t be paying him anyway if he was sold. That’s an entry level trick to make things sound better than they are. United would clearly have taken a £40m sale over a £1.5m loan fee, trying to argue otherwise is just bizarre.

Tosun is also useless, so why wouldn't we want to avoid paying his wages for 6 months?
We'd love to get 40m for him but that's not happening is it

Interesting take to give him the summer window seeing as his contract is up after the season.

If we can somehow get a rb, cm & rf that can also play cf (all on loan with options to buy) & get rid of those players too, I’d say that’s far beyond what I hoped we’d do this window.
I think this is more like what our summer window strategy will be... hope im wrong but i think one pacy winger/forward type player in this window if any

YESS !! 15th here we come ,this is the post I’ve been waiting for to cheer me up
15th hahaha
Yeah the players going contribute loads to this team don’t they?? They’ve probably played about 5 games between them in 3 years. We won’t even notice they’re gone apart from the finance department.
