Everton January transfer window 2021

Sorry mate i dont agree with the write of approach, i think you can do it with one or two, but its primarily our approach now regulating the squad, with little to zero value to Everton.

I was looking at the Lingard deal to West Ham, other clubs can look after themselves with this type of deal for players they dont want, we are awful on outs and worryingly the boomerang loans of zero value, depreciating value and the concrete approach of how we deal with our outs of absolutely zero value to us from a business or playing point of view.

Agree... think the biggest transfer fee for anyone in Europe this window has been 5.5M€ for someone age 28 and above... and that was for someone who has been tearing it up in the champions league for the last few years... nobody is interested unless they are getting heavily subsided players.

...and havent United been trying to flog Lingaard for two years? Alongside Jones, Rojo, Romero etc...

Market is dead... if you dont want a player and he doesnt offer long term value its near impossible to sell. IF we end up getting 5M for Bernard and not subsidising any wages it is a wonderful deal.

We have already let go Bolaise, Tosun & Lossol and it’s rumoured that Delph, Kenny & Bernard are gone. That is GREAT news but we urgently need reinforcements. A RB (Celik, Emerson or Aarons) and winger/striker at the minimum (Leao was rumoured). I feel with Gbamin and Allan back we won’t buy a CM.

I genuinely think Europe has gone now. Those 2 games just past where ideal chance to position ourselves nicely in the mix. Am more worried about the teams underneath us now. This season because the likes of Villa,West ham and Southampton going well and with the likes of Arsenal, Wolves and Chelsea stuttering its made the race for Europe harder. I fully expect Chelsea and Arsenal to pick up which will throw them back in the mix for Europe. If we're not careful because of the way the league is going this season you could find yourself on the back of a decent season and still be finishing 10th.
I don't think it's gone but we need to turn our form around fast. Yes the difference is this season many team's are doing better away from home maybe influenced by the lack of crowds? Agree unless we start another run even EL spot looks a stretch Chelsea and Arsenal will over take us. Hence we need arguably two players this window.

Emerson is impossible

I wasn't to fussed about bringing players in before yesterday, but the complete lack of options Ancelotti had to work with on the bench was quite damning.

I never said we should follow their example, did I?

Again, I'm just pointing out outside the very best clubs in the world not many squads have good depth...
Maybe but there is a difference between good depth and NO depth. We have two genuine forwards when we nominally play with three up front some games. We aren't challenging on all fronts with that.
