KING JOINS EVERTON
Everton have signed Josh King from Bournemouth in the short term deal till the end of the season.
Paperwork has gone into the FA and the remaining formalities will be completed.

With Bolaise, Tosun, Kenny, Lossol, Gordon & Branwaithe out this window. Retaining Bernard and bringing in King makes our bench stronger. With Allan, Gbamin and dare I say it Delph our bench is stronger. I feel this window will prepare us for big summer. We need to make Europe to keep Rodriguez, Richarlison and Digne.

If it's only 6months then that is much better and I can live with that, the thought of him being here in 3 years bothers me greatly.

Ultimately that’s true, the manager thinks he can be a useful addition so we just have to trust him. I’m sure had circumstances be different and we had the money to burn someone like King would have been very low on the list. We needed a back up striker, as far as I’m concerned he’s an improvement on Tosun, he’s decent with the ball at his feet and will contribute in a lot of other areas within the attacking 3rd so let’s see how he gets on.

On reflection it’s great business really. I don’t even think he’s a bad player. I just didn’t like the idea of us overspending on another 29+ something year old who’ll be on big wages and hard to shift in a year or twos time. It’s win-win really.
