Everton play like 'Stoke'

People chuffed that the media fought our corner are missing the point - the media won't win us the next derby - good players with a bit of fire in their belly might. A bit of a dust up unites the troops and focusses the mind something sadly lacking in this last decade.

The shame of Moyes record against Liverpool is not only the overwhelming loss percentage but the surrender monkey antics en route which seems to have been picked up by a few on here.

LFC take the piss out of us, not one of our players would have had the balls to do what Suarez did against their manager and if he did their whole clan would be up in arms and our people would have been arse licking their apologies right across stanley park. They are street fighters from board room to boot room we are vain glorious fops by comparison.

Not for one moment do I believe forum fans sticking their noses in the air waffling on about "class" and "dignity" represent what the majority of blues want.

It's high time we got off our knees and got into these bullying pricks.

The fans would love it if we took them on in print, radio and TV it would be a marker that the sh1t stops now. Perhaps the next time the hot breath of anger and determination from our team on their necks rather than the meekness of mice might give us a better outcome.

One things for sure it couldn't get much worse.

They haven't acted with class or dignity for 50 years. It hasn't done them much harm. Neither has it done Ferguson and Man Utd much either.

Spot on that mate.

As the old saying goes: 'cap in hand gets kick in teeth'.

Nobody can say whether we would have a better record in any game if every time some nasty people said something bad about us we cried back.

During the Joe Royle era where we he didn't lose we never did, against Roy Hodgson we never cried in the media and won the game. We didn't cry before the FA cup replay or before the Campbell derby or before the 3-0, etc.

I think some people are talking way too matter of factly about our attitude and its effect on results. The place you win games is on the pitch and over the last few years we haven't been good enough. My opinion is that I am in much doubt that a few mischosen words on a Thursday (or in this case 5/6 months before the next derby) are going to make much difference.

??

Joe hitting back at Evans' jibe about us being too physical with the slapdown about 'toys getting thrown out of loads of prams over in their dressing room'.

He knew how to deal with them. Moyes doesn't because he has no feel for the fixture.

Spot on Davek.

I see both sides, its all very well us more or less saying nothing and allowing the media and every football fan with a brain to see what a load of bollocks it was but surely we should fight our own battles and stood up for ourselves as well as the media?

And unlike what people are suggesting that doesn't mean we come out with some tit for tat childish "yeah but no but yeah but he beats up djs and his wifes a slapper" type crap, but that we offer a dignified response saying we find his comments laughable and that the stats would prove to any reasonable fan that we outplayed his team in the derby and would have won if it were not for the assaults on 2 of our players.

Its the silence over those Saurez fouls which speaks loudest, how on earth have we not made an issue out it?

Fair enough, can't remember that but my point still stands, we have won and played well in enough games with no needle to ask the question 'Will it really make that much difference?'

What he says to the team is the most important and how he sets up the players and how they play are so much a bigger part that it really does make what other teams say and how we react publicly such a minor part it is not worth worrying ourselves over. For those points Moyes has failed not because he didn't react with the same pathetic comments every time one came our way.

In this case Gerrard did not have a case to answer and was found out, we came out in a good light and they didn't. We played it correctly, it really is as simple as that. When the dust has settled and Moyes has his press conference he may be asked about it and I hope he just simply states that he doesn't care which he shouldn't and we shouldn't.

Suarez is an example of how our players should conduct themselves lads.

Suarez.

That's what bothers me. Very nasty those, could potentially have stolen months out of each players season. Should be pointing that out, especially when you consider what Osman was booked for.

What stevie dedhard said

Ino this as been done already but why is it so bad doing long balls the whole point of football is to get the ball in the net and to do it in the easyist possible way so why do people complicate it with loads of little passes an then wounder why its still 0-0 at 90 minuets because you just wasted possession by passing it around the back instead of going straight for the jugular by direct play and make your opponents sh*t there selves after wave and waves of attack
