Not open for further replies.
League One
Wigan: Francisco Junior - was not in squad for 3-2 away win against Chesterfield, might still be hamstring strain
Wigan: Jonjoe Kenny - was not in squad, international duty

National League North
Stockport County: Calum Dyson - played whole game in 0-0 home draw with Worcester
Stockport County: Jordan Thorniley - played whole game

Relevant Stockport tweets:
An early corner for County, following good work on left by Dyson, is followed up by a Rule shot from distance - safely gathered by Vaughan.
Dyson cuts inside from the right to shoot. His shot is tipped over by Vaughan to give County a 4th corner. Good start by the Hatters so far.
Vaughan saves well from Dyson again - diving to keep out the young loanee's shot from just inside the visitors' box.
Dyson, under pressure, heads over, following a Morton cross from the right.
A cross by Dyson from the right finds Montrose, whose header from close range is held by Vaughan.
Dyson now tries his luck himself - firing a low drive just wide of the left upright from 15 yards.
A County free kick from 30 yards out is played short by Rule to Dyson, whose shots pings off the Worcester wall and away from goal.
Another County corner - taken short to Roberts, whose ball into the box finds Thorniley at the far post. The latter, however, heads over.
Man of the Match: Dyson.
5 (FIVE) minutes of added time announced, while we await said corner - which Thorniley heads onto the ground and wide of the far post.

chelsea have 29 players out on loan now after moses. surreal. that's two rugby teams!
33 in total apparently. Scandalous system of stockpiling talent that needs to be adressed. We got abused in the media for having a few players in on loan, who we subsequently all signed (bar Atsu). And now we only have 4 players out on loan. Many other teams in the PL have double figures of players on loan. And not necessarily youth team, look at the likes of Balotelli and Dzeko.

THE TRANSFER WINDOW closed earlier this week and one of the biggest talking points in its aftermath was the amount of players Chelsea had out on loan.
The Premier League champions currently have 33 players loaned out to 26 clubs across ten countries. Critics hit out a the London club, accusing them of exploiting a ‘loophole’ to hoover up talent from around the world.
But if you thought Chelsea were bad, they pale in comparison to the amount of players Juventus have shipped out on loan deals.
The Serie A champions have a staggering 47 players out on loan this season. The most high profile of these is 19-year-old Kingsley Coman, who has joined Bayern Munich on a two-year loan. The fee is rumoured to be €7m, with an option to buy for an extra €21m.

The thing with Italy though, half of those players Juve has on their books are dual ownership and more than likely at the other team that part owns them.

I was going to start a new thread on this in the world football thread with regards to how Chelsea are buying in players and then loaning them out so in a couple of years time they make a profit on them with no intention of getting them anywhere near the first team. Its a way of getting past the FFP rules by making your own money.
Also buying players just so other teams can't buy them is another trick Chelsea like to use the loaning them out to other clubs (Salah, Cuadrado).
Victor Moses has been out on loan for the last 3 years now and he signed a new contract in the summer????

Yeah the whole system stinks. It's funny how clubs can loan in a limited amount but you can loan out as many as you can. It encourages stockpiling of talent.

Yep - buy decent players with no intention to play them, loan them to an opposition who might damage your main rivals, then they cannot play against your own team. Manipulate the league, because of your wealth.

Not sport.

Loan window re opens today.

Who would everyone like to see given a bit of time out on loan?
McAleny, he did reasonably well at Cardiff last year IIRC, seeing as he's unlikely to get much game time here, it makes sense to send him on loan to a championship club.
Maybe some of Pennington, Ledson, Robinson, Jones as well.
