Everton players out on loan (2015/16)

mcaleny gone on loan to charlton, surely playing for a permanent move at this stage.

Needs a move really doesn't he, I personally don't rate him that much but maybe he needs to make the step down to make the step back up .

Do like loaning our players out to football league sides, gives me a reason to watch that awful channel 5 football show and laugh at the gargoils standing around in there Leyton Orient shirts

Good luck to him, rotten luck he's had with injuries...... but being honest Championship may be his level. Which is not a bad level, and with a bit of luck and the right team mates you're suddenly in the PL.

So obviously Galloway & Browning were 2 of the 4 players to make the step up that Martinez mentioned would feature this season, who do you guys think the other 2 are?
Pennington may be one as he was given a game against Barnsley.
But, RM can speak in riddles at times and may well have meant Galloway and Browning , or he could mean Henen, Ledson, Dowell or just about anybody.

(As mentioned above re McAleny)
Championship
Charlton - McAleny on subs bench, plays 16 minutes in 1-2 home defeat to Huddersfield

74' SUB | @CMcAleny comes on for his Charlton debut in place of @MA_Fox
83' @Gudmundsson7 picks out @CMcAleny with a diagonal pass and the latter volleys into the arms of Steer
89' @CMcAleny drags wide form the edge of the box
90+1 @CMcAleny makes himself some space on the edge of the box and shoots just off target

Charlton Match Report
"Another change was in the offing as McAleny entered the fray, replacing Fox for his debut with 16 minutes remaining, while Igor Vetokele came on for Makienok with 80 on the clock. "
The Everton loanee came close with a first-time side-footed effort with seven minutes left, and again with a low shot just past the post in injury-time, but Charlton just could not get past that impenetrable wall of Terriers, while the visitors found a variety of ways to count the clock down."

Fan comments
"McAleny was positive but could only muster a couple of weak shots wide"
"Not many positives - although (once he'd settled) thought McAleny looked technically very good and reminded a bit of a young Scotty Parker in looks."
"Finally, I thought the one positive was the lad from Everton. He is clearly capable of playing at tempo and whilst not everything worked out for him he will make things happen. He is also just the sort of player who will make those third man runs into the box that we so lack at present."
"I think a combatative, not very creative midfield is fine when you have at least one - if not two - out and wingers that hug the touchline and put in consistently good crosses. Especially when we play two up front and have a 6ft 7 forward. McAlney (spelling?), in the 15mins or so I saw today, does not look like that sort of winger, he looked to be more in the JBG mold, an inside forward type."

National League North
Stockport County: Jordan Thorniley - played whole game in 0-1 away defeat to Chorley (goal deflected off him), booked in second half

Chorley launch a series of bombardments towards County's goal, but a combination of feet, heads & Thorniley's knee keeps them out.
Corner to County... and Thorniley's header is palmed off the line by Ashton! Two more corners follow, but, sadly, in vain.

3 shots in 16mins at least Connor is making himself available to his team mates and trying to show his quality. Good on him, really hope he makes it, he's a tidy little player from what we have seen. Championship is ideal for him.

I wish McAleney all the best. I've seen him in 4 games and have not been impressed. I've watched three U21 games in which he's played and to my eyes he has the air of someone who believes that they have made it to the main show already.

I think he needs to gain some perspective, work his socks off and prove himself .. otherwise be ready to accept a career in the lower leagues or as a PE teacher.

Fantastic stuff again mate, really appreciate the updates!

Championship
Charlton - McAleny on subs bench, plays 21 minutes in 0-3 away defeat to Blackburn

69' SUB | Bergdich is replaced by McAleny.
70' McAleny brought down from behind on the edge of the box. Ref somehow waves play on.
83' McAleny sees his shot deflected wide after good hold-up by Watt.

No particular immediate comments about McAleny on fan forums. As you could expect they are generally hacked off about the recent results in general.

League One
Wigan: Francisco Junior - presumably still recovering from injury
Wigan: Jonjoe Kenny - started in 2-1 home win against Fleetwood Town, booked second half for foul

30' Close! Great build-up play from Latics as Kenny finds Hiwula from the right, who knocks it wide from close range
72' Yellow card for Jonjoe Kenny, who brings down Ball on the left hand side. Free-kick for the visitors, which is cleared

National League North
Stockport County: Jordan Thorniley - played whole game in 1-0 home win against Alfreton Town

Not a word about him on Twitter or forums so presumably all OK?

League Cup (bit late with this one!)
Charlton - McAleny in starting line-up, substituted 74th minute in 1-4 away defeat to Crystal Palace

1' First shot of the game comes Charlton's way as McAleny drags wide from the edge of the box
23' McAleny shoots off target from 25 yards after some industrious work in midfield from @Elhadjbaaby
55' REF! @CMcAleny goes down under the challenge of Mariappa inside the box. Nothing given.
72' @KAG18_ nods wide from McAleny's cross. Good move that from the visitors
74' SUB | Tony Watt replaced McAleny in Charlton's final change just before the foul in the box.

CAFC Official Report (with a few mentions about McAleny)

Fan comments
"I'm afraid that McAleny looked powder puff and out of his depth"
"don't want to dismiss the bloke from Everton too quickly, but at the moment he looks like a cross between Bradley Allen and Spongefoot Church (and I'm not being complimentary), if we are going to get prem loans, then at least get ones that will make us stronger (ala Coq from Arse)."
