I'm sorry, for a moment there it looked like a few of you are trying to make out that teams would prefer signing Rooney over lukaku today. 90 m player v a free/10 m player.

Yes it's exciting to many Evertonians to have him back, and yes many outside everton think it's embaressing and or charitable of us but. let's not go into denial about it.

I wish him.luck and hopefully he will perform at a new level now he is back at his club. Let's see, let's be realistic.
Apart from his goal Lukaku dragged the team down off of the pitch, look how professional Wayne is talking about man Utd, Lukaku is saying now he's going to work harder at man Utd (so was he only half trying here, it looked like it at times) he's not a good player to have around the youngsters and I have a feeling, he's had words with Barkley to. Yes very good player at times on the pitch but in my opinion we have only lost a very good player not a great player, and there is a difference.

In the new world of the new Everton, commercially this is a great signing.

It could go either way on the pitch and my money is on him doing OK for us.

He is one of the most famous players in the world and he will be certainly attracting even more attention to the club.

Sunday is our busiest day of the week for traffic (match day traffic aside).

This is the quietest I can ever recall us being after a senior transfer - as an indication, after Pickford we had 1,600+ online. Since Rooney, we've not exceeded 900.

Watch our server explode now as 10,000 try and log on to spite me.

I reckon everyone has had to log off and go for a lie down or walk mate now that he's signed. A lot of excited folk ( and some who aren't too happy ) with this news.
