Most other fans don't realise that we aren't just replacing Lukaku with Rooney, there will be others coming in too.

The kopites can joke all they like, but they are flapping now with all these transfers, not that they'd admit it.

This is what I'm hoping. Whether or not Giroud comes in, I would like to see us bring in one of those young guys who have scored a lot abroad and they can have a season with relatively little pressure and then take over as the main man in 1-2 years time.

How can Barkley not want to stay now, a local lad a manager that is committed to his project and one of the best players we have ever produced coming back, a great English youth contingent and very good signings coming in. He may struggle to get game time, but I'd want to stay to prove myself and be part of these potentially big big times at Everton.

I think it could go either way. Probably like you posted, but equally he could be talking to Wayne, and thinking I can go away, play somewhere else and come back in 5/6 years time as the Prodigal Son. But like I say, with what is going on around the club right now I would think that must surely be too exciting to leave behind for a player and fan of the club.
