.wouldn't shock me seeing him at any of Arsenal as a plan B, West Ham, Newcastle or United mate.

Hopefully. I just have this worrying feeling that most clubs have looked at cost (at any fee) vs productivity and decided it's just not a value proposition.

Whilst he isn’t great you need to be careful what you wish for. Given our chronic lack of supply doubt there is a striker in world football costing £15m or less who could do any better than DCL. Makes thankless runs, wins headers but is driven out of box with no supply. Look at Ancelotti era when James & Richy were supplying….

No, it's a crazy idea but perhaps he could work with the manager and sign players who will fit together in a coherent system.

Perhaps not wasting money when it's tight on young players who the manager will not play when we have critical areas of improvement.

Or perhaps we get a manager who is prepared to play progressive new players rather than the usual crap.that he selects

That in a nutshell, Dyche won't survive much longer imo, be it the end of the season maximum or earlier - if the takeover goes through then he's out the door the moment it happens

I agree, we probably can’t afford a Dom equivalent, at least assuming he was playing full tilt.

We almost need to accidentally buy a totally different type of striker to force the manager to play a different style. Even a with fully focused Dom, the current style does not keep us up, and is like watching a dog eat cat poo. Keeps bleating on about all players chipping in with goals, but we play in a way where the most likely scorers are Dom and Tarky.

We've often overrated absolutely mediocre strikers mate, Ferguson gets regarded by lots as a club legend despite a piss poor scoring rate
