Yeah thinking is more midfielders but would be curious if he has rejected any fb. That first game of the season said everything about prem experience i get why you go after some players but not all. Esp when the club has so little money to spend

Sounds like Broja is still going to be the one to replace DCL IF he goes though.

Bobble's mate he does the podcast with has now retweeted Romano's one about us being in talks for Nuamah, so I'm guessing things have developed this evening

Nothing really to the Ernest Nuamah thing according to Bobble. Lyon have contacted us to say he's available and that's about it. He did say this on his podcast earlier though (before the Fab Romano tweet), so maybe things have changed.

Also said that Dyche has rejected 8 players that have been put to him by Thelwell. That clown needs to stay away from our recruitment altogether. Dyche is utterly clueless. The DoF should make these decisions.

Yeah thought he got an injury and was looking at fofana instead, hard not to get worried about broja and beto to see who would be first choice. Just think is crazy to risk broja as first choice has done nothing to show apart from maybe half a season at southampton years ago when he looked ok.

Not really. Sounds like these were picks that Thelwell rates though.

Said that there has to be total agreement between manager and DoF or nothing happens.

Our entire window has felt a little bit like Thelwell wanting pace and attacking intent and Dyche looking for graft and experience.

Ultimately, in my opinion, the DOF should be the deciding factor as they should be setting a footballing strategy for the club and the buying of players to fit a style/profile falls into that role.

I'm expecting us to sign just Mangala, let Maupay leave for buy now pay next year and Holgate to go on loan in the championship. Won't build me hopes up for anyone else l, although il be checking everton news every half and hour in work tomorrow. I'm off Friday so might go out for the day

Yep. Strikers are always the hardest position to get right though. All I can say is DCL needs to go - he is messing us around badly here, or his agents need to negotiate an extension to his deal with an agreed release clause. This has all the hallmarks of him not lifting a finger all season and them leaving us on a free at the end.

And, I think there is a player in Beto that could prove very useful, but we're going to have to bite the bullet and play him as he is so raw. If we don't, he's so unrefined that he won't be much use to us. As far as Broja goes, he was coveted and well thought of prior to the injuries, so who knows .

Personally, I'd like us to be in a position to test RB Salzburg for Konate - but again, who knows if he could manage the step up.
