I don't know how but it seems like they do but they also make poor transfer decisions so overpaying for Dom could be one of them

Yup now tbi k about it, the perceived notion is DCL is perfect for Dyche ball.

He's scored 8 goals in 45 games under Dyche - 3 of those being pens.

So 5 in 45 without or a 1 goal every 9 game strike rate. So 4 goals over a full 38 game season if fit and not on penalty duty.

Sorry mate, you think Beto doesn't score more than that? Comfortably more - he got 3 last season playing 10-15 minutes here and there.

Wasting your time arguing mate. Some fans have made an absolute myth of DCL being some kind of Everton savior based on a purple patch under Ancelotti. Nothing you show them is going to convince them that he isn't the only striker we could possibly get to score more than 4 goals from open play across an entire season.

Beto lost the ball 50% more often when he played last season and DCL won the ball in the air a third more. Not saying either of them is brilliant, but it actually is possible to see it in the stats.

Winning an aerial ball means absolutely zero when the ball then falls to the opposition mate, it's a hollow padding stat, the vast majority of times when DCL wins a header nobody in blue gets near it, and that's zero difference to Beto losing the header in reality. Does Beto lose possession more yup he tries to go past players DCL often lays it back twenty yards to see it punted up again to him in the air.

Given the system is supposedly entirely set up to suit DCL not Beto and the return you get from doing so, I don't understand why people can't see that DCL is absolutely none essential as his goal return is none existent and the bringing others into play I must have missed him doing a Teddy Sherringham
