Everton Summer 2024 Transfer Thread

I wish I wasn’t emotionally invested in Everton - life would be way more chill

Mate ive been busy the last two PL games and i have to say its so nice to check the score see that we're loosing and go about my day.

Then later on when Im done check the scores again "oh, we lost that sucks...wonder what im going to have for dinner tonight" been bliss.

Unfortunately i have nothing else to do tomorrow so its back the goodison for another 90 mins of misery.

Ill probably be drunk, literally dont drink apart from at goodison. Mad to think i actually pay for the privilege of being made so miserable i turn to alcohol to try to numb the pain

But not signing the players I mention was due to lack of funds. Only so much he can do when operating with a poundland budget.

Agree about having a pacey winger but again it's very hard to have done much more with such a restrictive budget. He can't turn water into wine.
Anyone can identify good players we can't afford. I don't feel that's creditworthy. I agree that it's a tough job with minimal funds though. I feel like the signings are risky - the forward players are coming off the back of poor seasons - so I'm on the fence as to how much better we are. Fingers crossed that they hit the ground running.

Free loan and according to the Athletic
we aren’t paying any of his wages until he’s fit. I’m not sold on the player but it’s a well constructed deal.

Wages 40,000 so take that from maupay and holgate also think mangala is 30,000. So should be under what the club was paying, also with no loan fee could mean we could have cash to spend in jan maybe

Not invested in Everton? Because you don’t like the way 2 guys who have been operating in ridiculously difficult circumstances have gone about their job, wow, everything that is bad in modern football right there n that statement
I think Thelwell could do a decent job with some money
But dyche is a dinosaur, his archaic football is horrendous to watch and will Never be a long term strategy for a club trying to build something. His removal from
Our football club can’t come soon enough, if you think he’s great an enjoy his football, then fair enough

It's the % of home runs from those players tracked produced that's impressive for me. Kudus and Joao Pedro probably the most annoying as both are just the type of players we need. Wharton in midfield as well.

Can’t wait till tomorrow to see 10 pages of Zat multi quoting hundreds of messages

Morning princess...

Out until mid-October.

Not a chance he’s Dyche fit until January.

Could sign him in January, but no.

Let’s spunk 4 months’ wages for a laugh.

A poem by @Brett Angell Delight

Harrison deja-vu,
It's nothing new.

The ending of your poem, completed by Zat ;)

£30m option is wild btw, we are so bad with money if we triggered that.

What if he scored 15 goals after coming back from injury?

Option means nothing until we see him on the pitch

Why’ve they put a wolf emoji by Soler when it’s West Ham trying to sign him?

Why have they spent Trevoh / Trevor ?

Its a try before you buy. Ideal for us now Maupay has gone.

All we need now is for DCL to go to Saudi.

Don’t take this the wrong way, what do you mean by future success?

I think we all have an ideal idea of what an Everton squad should look like and I feel that this window has seen us take strides towards that.

We were never going to fix everything in this window but we are now a couple of steps closer.

I suppose that would be “success” in this context, rather than the previously bloated, imbalanced and overpaid squad of recent years.

I hope that makes sense!
