5 years ago, definitely, but we don't have the financial power to do this now even if we wanted to. We need money and we can't afford his wages.Man U wanting Branthwaite in part exchange with Maguire is laughable to me. We're not stupid but we're not clever either. I wouldn't put it past us.
Do you think we have given Beto enough time? to me he is direct, awkward and defenders don't know what he is going to do, as I don't believe he knows either…..I thought we have a DOF who manages transfers, you know the fella who gave us Maupay and Beto. Thelwell is a concern.
Arsenal fans I believe....as they are binning RamsdaleWhere has this talk of Pickford being sold come from?

Deserves another season as Thelwell must have seen something in him
Maupay will leave for about 6 million I reckon, so we can pay off what we owe on him
That is just them “reporting” the Daily Mail, and pointing out the obvious, that ManU could do with a CB now as they are having a clear out this summer.
Don't think he will ever leave unless we are relegated or we are seriously seriously desperate for the cash.Pickford, to me, doesn’t look like he wants to leave. He starts for England, he starts for us every game and the amount of mistakes he has made over the years, a club like Arsenal would have binned him off years ago. He seems happy and settled with his family here and i can’t see him leaving.
I just don't think that solves the issues in one, but it may be something like that will happen. Probably something similar for Onana.I'll take Dalot, McTominay plus £55m.
People definitely need to get the idea that we're getting anything like £80m+ for him out of their heads otherwise they're going to be extremely disappointed in two months.
200m

It sucks because not only do we need to rectify our financials to get to a level that avoids any FFP or similar issues, then we have to build cashflow then we need to fill spots in the squad.
That plan kind of half does both. The cash coming in is not enough, but we need more than just that to fill the spots then we need to work out what we are doing with wages. It's such a huge mess. Any players attached to deals would almost need to be throw ins as opposed to making up value for the deal.
My fear is we probably somehow need to generate around 250m, whilst shedding approx 400k pw in wages and then filling up to 8 players who are capable of playing any given week. even that 250m will need to at least partially go to debt control.
I actually think it would get swallowed up in debt but really, i accept the price is high but we will have a hard time going forward if we dontI think £200mil would be fair for both parties.
We get a huge amount with would cover PSR for 3 seasons & the balance sheet becomes alot better.
That kind of money can rebuild the team.
As I put in the post before, with all this 777/MSP mess and our current debt level I just cant see a situation where a significant portion of the fee wont be swallowed up to pay off debt. So if part of the inflows goes toward debt we still at least have a realistic amount that we can replace players with. Why £250mil ? Thats an enormous amount.
