….i think he is what he is, technically ordinary but can be a handful. We’re paying €25m for a player that would’ve been an ok acquisition for €12m, hopefully Chermiti has already overtaken him in the pecking order.
Pickford, to me, doesn’t look like he wants to leave. He starts for England, he starts for us every game and the amount of mistakes he has made over the years, a club like Arsenal would have binned him off years ago. He seems happy and settled with his family here and i can’t see him leaving.

I just don't think that solves the issues in one, but it may be something like that will happen. Probably something similar for Onana.
It sucks because not only do we need to rectify our financials to get to a level that avoids any FFP or similar issues, then we have to build cashflow then we need to fill spots in the squad.
That plan kind of half does both. The cash coming in is not enough, but we need more than just that to fill the spots then we need to work out what we are doing with wages. It's such a huge mess. Any players attached to deals would almost need to be throw ins as opposed to making up value for the deal.
My fear is we probably somehow need to generate around 250m, whilst shedding approx 400k pw in wages and then filling up to 8 players who are capable of playing any given week. even that 250m will need to at least partially go to debt control.

I think £200mil would be fair for both parties.
We get a huge amount with would cover PSR for 3 seasons & the balance sheet becomes alot better.
That kind of money can rebuild the team.

As I put in the post before, with all this 777/MSP mess and our current debt level I just cant see a situation where a significant portion of the fee wont be swallowed up to pay off debt. So if part of the inflows goes toward debt we still at least have a realistic amount that we can replace players with.
considering what we need to shed then replace 250 seems about the target we need to bring in. That includes other players other than branthwaite and onana.
These loans are crippling we need to get on top of them, also with the issues with actual day to day cashflow we need to provide for that as well .
