Oh for sure he was never turning it down but it's a weird situation for the lad not really knowing how much he is really wanted and how much is just accountancy. But if he does go on loan hopefully it goes well for him and gives him good options for the future.
I think if you could get a decent RB who can overlap he wouldn’t be as bad

Just had a quick look in one of the Villa forums .. and they are as confused as we are with this swop deal

If they’re both valued at £10m, I can’t see how that resolves PSR but May be I’m just thick

Know Nixon is pretty low tier, but an FFP swap with City might be plausible? I assume the young Everton player would be Lukjanciks and Kabore would be a logical one to come the other way.

I dont use twitter so cant see the post chain.

Saying were sending a young player to City in a swap deal?

He has qualities mate, anytime I've seen him, I've been both impressed but also think he's raw. His defending could do with some work, but Luton were gash at the back. But he has attributes, athleticism, unit, engine, presence, pace, power, he can get up the line and can be a threat.

Strikes me as a Dyche sort mate, power, engine presence, direct, effort, is an outlet - few rough edges, but nothing we couldn't develop, i would be happy enough with him. Be a good move for the lad as well.

City dont take on bad players.

He looks like Lilian Thuram on youtube.

For Luton i didnt really pay much attention but seemed a little weak at the back post possibly?

£10.9mil seems a very good fee.

Good deal on loan but...

Have we not tried this DCL, Harrison, McNeil trio out all season and found it to be very average?
I mean, we dont have any wingers. McNeil ideally should be playing in the middle, so if we wanted to do that signing Harrison raises our winger count to...1.

Thats okay milk, heres the beef: Because he came through the academy selling Dobbin gets us 10m in profit. Buying Tim also costs 10m, but only 2-2.5m this year as it depends on the length of contract.

Sales are recorded for their amount minus whats still owed on their previous purchase(which is 0 because both are academy). Purchases are NOT recorded for their amount, instead if you look at our accounts there is a "Player amortizations" number that is what actually counts, and its just the current years cost. So we are +8m in profit on this deal. Villa are as well, as theirs is the same but just swap the player names.

Yes and its yesterdays news...so were a day closer to our disappointment when it turns out Africa Foot were fibbing.
Sweet! I always thought Africa Foot was really trustworthy since I saw it that time 5 minutes ago, but I guess you cant trust a foot to type

Just a small point the 10m profit is in this year's accounts and the 2.5m charge in next years accounts.
