People forget that Dyche doesn't like to have a big squad and doesn't tend to make a lot of changes. To many signings, is just wasted money

I think we need another experienced back up keeper.

We do need a CB we've sold one and only two of the current 4 are good enough with our best on his way.

We do need a striker as our best Is on his way and the other two aren't good enough

I do too. However, I really thought we'd see Branthwaite gone before the 30th June and I didn't expect us to sign players for actual money, so things aren't quite as bleak as I feared.

Well nothing is announced yet we may see a double whammy.

I like these type of signings. 0 outlay on him, comes from decent pedigree and all it takes is a half decent League 1 loan to make a decent penny for him if he isn't good enough for the first team.

They don't tend to work a ton of times, but as said, 0 outlay.

These deals have almost zero risk. The upside is huge , the majority won’t make it as prem players but they will all have some sort of career in football and someone will buy them.

Just look at simms , cannon etc those deals bring in some much needed cash and allowed us to operate .

And even if 1 in 20 of these deals makes it as a decent prem player, that’s a 20-30m asset we create.

The downside is that these take time to bare fruit but if we could actually set up our youth system to squire 10 or so of these players every year, by years 3-4 we could potentially have a conveyor belt that is providing us with 10m a season through sales and with the potential for one or two to actually make it into the first team squad.

How do you quantify “rubbish”? Results? Or player progression. Unsworth got results (to feather his own nest), but didn’t sufficiently develop players.

Results, Bainesy’s U18s finished 3rd bottom of the North division and knocked out of the Youth Cup by Chelsea

Tait’s U21s finished second bottom in PL2, got knocked out in the semis of the International cup by Palace and knocked out in the group stage of the EFL Trophy
