Sounds like a perfect Dyche wide midfielder tbh.Interesting that, apparently, he's actually a midfielder that HV converted into a RB last season. Doesn't seem to have an issue getting up & down that side of the pitch by the sounds of it..
Of course it's how footballers think. Why would a player worth his salt, want to join a team who's best players are legging it?Not how footballers think. If their best players didn't play in the same position as him maybe
Came through the Standard Liege academy as well. Could be worth a punt at c.7m.Sounds like a perfect Dyche wide midfielder tbh.
Is this not how all big clubs think? I wish we thought like this.
He will get guaranteed game time at Palace and play attacking football under Glasner.I can see him picking Palace purely because he's a Southern lad. But from a career point, I'd still like to think Everton have more sway that Crystal Palace.
They're about to sell their two best players, and if they don't get their replacements right, I can see them struggling in the next few seasons.
Everton with a state of the art stadium, the Club size, wages, and hopefully better owners on the horizon, Everton can start competing, where we should be.
I hear Ashley Young and Andy Lonergan can do a job in the middle of the park if needs be?!?!...Can't wait to watch our youth team for a month next time the African Cup is on.
Boggles my mind that some fans honestly think a young, 20-something kids who have a shot at make their way as professional players in the Prem are swayed by what the stadium looks like. They'll be thinking about the money, the status, the playing time, their development and progression path, what their goals are etc. As if some kid is going to be arsed about some middle-aged bloke in a suit banging on about structural architecture and a lovely car park.He will get guaranteed game time at Palace and play attacking football under Glasner.
I don't think players are that arsed about playing in a new stadium. That said ( sorry @Alan Whittle) Selhurst Park must be the worst PL stadium now that Real Luton have gone back to where they belong.
Can't sell a player who doesn't agree to leave. Right now, it appears only Newcastle were interested in him. As a free agent next year, he'll have more options to choose from. Nothing unusual about a player wanting to make best possible use of their situation for the benefit of their own career.Depending on where we are we may as well keep him at that point.
Also from his point of view he will be able to command a higher signing fee and wages if he waits til June
The stadium will impress players i wouldn't say they won't care at all about it but its not going to be the deciding factor of where they choose to move to.Boggles my mind that some fans honestly think a young, 20-something kids who have a shot at make their way as professional players in the Prem are swayed by what the stadium looks like. Yeah indeed, its gonna be low down their list. The stadium will impress players i wouldn't say they won't care at all about it but its not going to be the deciding factor of where they choose to move to.

Lemme guess, they also talked about our history and the fans?Pretty sure I've read somewhere this very week that one of our new youth players has a goal of playing at the new stadium. It is and will be enticing to players.
