Zero goals for Napoli playing in an advanced position? Speed is great but can he do anything with the ball?

I wonder if he had a McNeil type season before we bought him. I think McNeil had 0 goals and 1 assist in a full season of playing 38 games for Burnley, I would assume starting almost all of those 38 games.

Interesting. 21 goal contributions in 57 Bundesliga appearances is another way of dressing it. How does that compare to what we're traditionally used to from a player in his position(s)?

….that is decent. He looks in control when he gets in positions which often results in players being able to finish or find a telling pass. Clearly a good footballer but unless it’s a loan, I find it hard to see we’re interested given we’ve got Ndiaye.

If we could bring Ugochukwu & Lindstrom in on loan with buy options that looks to be good business.

Those signings, as well as hopefully Asprilla at £15mil and we would 'complete' the central and wide midfield areas.

If we can sell Iwobi for 22 million in the last year of his contract we can sell McNeil for a profit. Garner we will definitely make a profit on (if we sell - I don't want us to sell him as I think he's a very good prospect).

So what if the Onana profit is small? We paid 33 million for him and are asking for 45-60 million now (depending on which media outlet you believe). We made an 8 million profit on Gray which was an excellent bit of business

Can’t say he warrants more to be honest.
If he’d had a barnstorming Euros or slotted a few more for us (considering we are ‘set piece specialists’ ) maybe, but after the last 12 months I’d take it.
Hopefully with a % sell on incase he justifies the hype in the future.

Fwiw I wanted him to be better than he has shown, and think he may well fulfil his promise, but for the wages he’s on, he’s no where near justified them for me.

Good money for a player I don’t think we’ve seen the best of. But Villa are a lesson for us. Was it 4 years ago they were in the championship? And now they’re in the champions league. Believe everyone.

No chance of him now. He had a choice of us, Ipswich and Villa and he chose to go back to Villa
