Wonder if it might make them rethink the Toney situation, doesn't sound like they've got anywhere near the offers they thought they would.

Hopefully it means they come in for Maupay, but doubt they'll buy him - probably will look at a loan again as he's now in his last year of contract

We should do everything we can to sign Jake O’Brien he’s on a big trajectory. He will be a player that if not picked up this summer will go for much bigger money next summer.

With Tarks getting older and uncertainty on JB’s future, we need a player of his profile who could be around for 3/5 years or more.

He’d be an absolute monster under Dyche too.

If we could some how keep ahold of JB and add Jake too the mix we’d be set for a solid CB partnership for years to come.

I'm a little confused as to why Palace let him go for so low if he's meant to be great. Don't know if he even ever played for them and he left when he was like 22?

Why should we expect much from Ndiaye or Lindstrom? Both have been very poor for their clubs last season. Gnonto might be ok if we can get him but where does that leave McNeil and Harrison? And surely not Kevin Philips? Thelwell is good at wasting money.

All of the players signed/were after have something to prove:

Iroegbunam came off a great loan to QPR then not really used much by Villa.

Ndiaye used out of position at Marseille after a storming season at Sheffield UTD

Lindstrom super season in Germany then Napoli were a disaster team and he was used out of position

Gnonto dropped by Italy and will need premier league football to get back into their squad.

Remember when Sylvester Stallone came to Goodison...this is a Rocky season for those 4 players (if they all join). They need to dig deep and prove themselves again.

They're reported to want 25m for him mate, that's already a sizeable amount especially for us

Hopefully Alan answers as curious to this as well, I know 'typically' CBs break through a bit later, but does seem to have gone from nothing to a 25m player overnight almost and not exactly a kid
