Oh yeah he definitely needs to sharpen up or we need to upgrade, misses far too many sitters for my liking. I hope we can move him on and get a more lethal replacement. It’s the sensationalism that gets me, a ‘non player’, he deserves a bit more respect from fans for what he’s done here than that.

It’s one thing pointing out the reality. That everyone is already painfully aware of. It’s another thing pointing it out in every thread every hour of the day.
It’s another thing again though making up sensationalist hypothetical catastrophic scenarios that aren’t real or haven’t happened.
Just see how we’re fixed at the end of the window and how these players play for Everton on the grass in competitive games rather than moaning so much before a ball has even been kicked.

Can you see the difference between these two sentences?
‘It would be good to get another fullback or striker in because our backup players in those positions aren’t good enough to cover if we get long term injuries there.’
‘Lashing £17m on a CB when we have no strikers or full-backs is a little scary I can’t lie’
One of them is sensationalist inaccurate rubbish that somehow manages to have a dig at the club for making a signing (in a position we needed) and also invents that we have no players in two other positions (despite having two fullbacks each side and 4 strikers)
The other one actually seems to be the point you’re making in your last post about backups to DCL Coleman and Mykolenko not being good enough which I’d agree with to a point. I’d still argue they’re better backups than Keane and Holgate are so the expenditure on O’Brien is still justified.
What if Everton buy a fullback or striker before the end of the window? This would just be moaning for moaning sake, at least wait until the window is shut.
