Everton Summer Transfer Thread - 2022

Can’t even get close to Richarlison figures at the same age, even on the back of 2 poor seasons.

Midfield, he’s basically played up front for 2yrs

He's been playing LM all season. He'd be a massive upgrade imo.

I'd sell Gray if the right bid came in, anything above 15 million.

Something that hasnt been mentioned for a while.. we could use the Arthur/Pjanic swap deal approach.

If Richarlison moved to PSG, Madrid, Chelsea or United then we could value him at £80mil or even £100mil and also inflate the fees of any player(s) included in a swap deal.

The same goes for DCL of course.
I can tell you right now, there isn’t a single player on Real Madrids or PSG’s books who would be interested in coming to us in this current state.

I'd still take Zaha from Palace. He's scored another 11 goals from midfield so far this season. I think he's a better player than Richarlison and Gray.
He's a good player but if we were to do this it would also show that we had learnt nothing from our recent history.

He may very well be better than Richarlison and Gray (debatable on the first one) but at the same time Richarlison and Gray are not really the problem currently, you would be spending to slightly improve a position that is not an issue in the first place.

Of course if Richarlison goes then that changes the discussion somewhat.

Zat are you not tired of doing this every single day for 11 years?

What drives you to continue this futile crusade?

I agree to an extent, but some of our worst signings relate to young players that were supposed to have a resale value, but they've just been crap and we can't get rid of them. Pound for pound I normally say that Siggy is our worst ever signing, however we've really missed Siggy's input this season. Siggy's been a nightmare, but at least he's actually contributed over the years, unlike the likes of Gbamin.

….that really is the job of DoF and Lampard, not posters on GoT.

i wouldn’t specify such a figure but quality & value talent is out there. Clearly more difficult to unearth, but Watford bought Richarlison for £11m, Leeds brought in Raphinha for not a lot more.
Well it’s an easy statement to make then.

Also we can all go through transfers and say that was a great buy, easy in hindsight. Leeds also spent 25mil on Dan James

Come on be serious you’re sounding like they play 442. He’s a wide striker who’s very inconsistent.
He’s nearly 30 and averages a goal every 4.4 games for palace and 1 in 5 for the Ivory Coast
Richarlison a goal every 3.2 for Everton and every 3 games for Brazil, maybe Zaha has a better assists stats at this point.

But Richarlison will go on to have a much better career than Zaha. He’s better than gray. But it says it all that when he wanted to leave at his peak 27, 3 yrs ago only Everton and Arsenal showed an interest

Have you learned absolutely nothing from the shower of poop that's been the last 5 years.

These players may not hit the ground running. Theres plenty of cases where foreign players take 6-12months to settle in.

Look at Patterson and Mykolenko (who youve been slating) as current examples.

Id be happy if we had done this over the past couple of summers and factor in a finish around lower mid table. Thats in knowledge that wed be building a new young squad.

But some...are too impatient :)

Certainly not steroids...hows the gym going?
