Everton Summer Transfer Thread - 2022

We simply cant afford to make 1 single more mistake in the transfer window. Years gone by you could sign 3-4 players, hoping 1 comes really good, 2 offer something and the 4th you write off as a risk worth taking.

We don't have that option at all right now, we simply have to get each one spot on and each one will need to be first team ready.

I meant to add - that's why I'm not surprised by the lack of movement so far. Everyone will have to be in agreement and everyone will have to agree on the price willing to be paid for the interested player

The difference is that they were all demonstrably good before arriving here.

WTF has Gilmour got to recommend him?

He's lightweight and pace-less and would represent an unambitious signing - he really is at very best a Championship player.

I'm hopeful that Lampard has worked that out. If he hasn't then we're all in trouble if that's what he sees as an acceptable player for this club.
Pienaar busted out at Dortmund mate - when they where crap, same with Arteta at Sociadad they hadn't proven a thing.

Away with you, Dynamo Diabetes

Finished 0-0 Michail, a draw. The 'Scotland won' patter is for lads from Kent.
Is there any need for this ?
It comes across as mocking a rather debilitating condition that other forum members are affected by/suffer from.

Think a bit harder about what you're saying and whether it might cause offence or upset.

How?

They're so vastly different mate.

And I'm not just talking about transfers here, but even the roles etc that needed to be filled on the staff, if we went down would Lampard have been sticking around or sacked? There was just so much up in the air.
How?

It's literally his job. You have one plan for relegation, mainly sales, contract renegotiations with existing players and looking to pick up championship level players. And another plan if we manage to stay up, selling Richarlison and maybe Kean to balance the books and lining up a replacement for Richie and players for the utterly obvious holes in the squad. There were only two scenarios, ffs.

It's hardly Dr Strange at the end of Infinity War.

We can’t afford tried and tested unless they ;
A/. Live locally and are free.
B/. Have been tried and tested in a failed relegation battle.
Or,
C/. Have no other available options.
We can have loans. We have a lot of wages to play with.

The low bar our supporters sert the divvies in charge. No wonder we're a joke governance wise. They're allowed to get away with murder.

As stated since, it's not a personal attack. But we'll leave it there.

We dont have a lot of wages to play with.

We earned less prize money last season and we lost USM money, that will offset the wages.

We can only have 2 domestic loans and 2 foreign, not many clubs bar Chelsea willing to loan out players
