Everton Summer Transfer Thread - 2022

Every player we go for will be a risk, they’ll be unproven hoping they’ll come good, or they might be a has been hoping we can revive them.

Proven entities get snapped up by top clubs.

The fact Delph, Icelandic Babysitter, Richarlison, Branthwaite, Tosun, Lonergan, Kenny are all gone leaves 7 players down from the squad from last season.

Branthwaite, Welch, Onyango, Dobbin, Tryer all made the bench multiple times last season.
And with 5 subs this season we actually need a larger squad, just with a lot less of the lazy injury prone overpaid snail types.

Would any of you take this as acceptable

Say Barkley buy for £1 million with an add on of £10 million if you stay up, increased to £15 million if you finish 10th or above

Gilmour on loan( no loan fee just his wages paid in full by you ) with an obligation to buy on 1/7/2023 for £15 million if you stay up.

The players in this scenario aren’t the issue it’s the type of structuring of the deal that interests me
Re your proposal , no to Barkley and yes to Gilmour ( presuming that his wages aren't crazy ).

If the players are irrelevant then yes , in principle deals like that would have to be of interest to Everton given their financial position.
