It seems that all Kopite Kevs job involves is applying a filter to his excel spreadsheet which narrows the search to “contract due to expire <=12 months” and “location = U.K.”

As recently as last year this was proved not to be an absolute. Palace did exactly this, and had a significantly better season than us.

He has been missing completely from any training pics (and the second game) for the last 5-6 days.

I suspect he left camp early. Would be a coup if we managed to [Poor language removed] him out on a perm deal with a small transfer fee.

To be fair, most of that ‘he wasn’t good enough’ came from the first game of the season where we beat Spurs and he was abysmal and our trio of new signings ran the game.
Those were the days.

If Palace had a season where Guehi Gallagher and Zaha missed most of the season and they were battling relegation would the culture change still be seen as successful?

If Gomes leaves and we don’t sign anymore players at all this window, I’d call that a massive success. Just by him leaving will improve my mental state as I won’t have to watch him play.

I mean I'm not holding my breath like.

We needed signings the moment the window opened, yet all we have to show for it so far is Tarks. If it's clearly a big priority for us then why hasn't a lot more happened by now?

Think we're gonna end up doing our old 'chicken' routine with clubs this summer personally. It's what we used to do back when we were skint.
