can just see Dwight Gayle in a hardhat on deadline day, winched up at the dock, bashing away with a hammer on a metal beam, giving a wink and a smile to the camera as it zooms in.......

.......BK's face photoshopped onto a passing seagulll as it sqwarks "the Lampard revolution begins now"

We’re in trouble here.

All very well waiting towards the end of the market but we will have sacrificed available points. Points that are precious to an awful squad who mustered very little last season.

Seems like they don’t have a clue what they are doing. This includes thelwell.

The worrying thing is that we are also running out of ‘assets’ to sell moving forward.

Only DCL, Gordon, Pickford and possibly Godfrey would bring in any decent money.

Desperate times. It’s unbelievable really how Moshiri and the board have managed things so badly.
Which is why recruitment is key to develop more assets. We have seen far too many players leave for nothing. I suspect we will make one big sale every summer for the foreseeable.

This is my worry, it's like the opening fixtures will mean nothing as they scrape about on deadline day looking in the bins for players, confidence will be in freefall and I am afraid all the pyros in world wont save us this time around, as there is a disease in this club that has finally got out of control

Same the squad is awful we have no balance to this team. Hope this changes but just horrible that already i fear us going down,

100% spot on. Would hang my hat on DCL, possibly JP being gone next summer; irrespective of our place in the league.

Gordon could fetch £35m based on NUFC rumours but they're paying for potential, not a kid with utterly awful end product and an inability to take a corner. Other than him, who have we developed? Tom Davies; who 12-18 months go might have been on Saints/Palace radar for a few quid.

Recruitment has been a joke. We drop £80m on Siggy & Keane, Leics drop half of that on Maddison & Forfana. We pump for £50m for Gbamin, Allan & Fabian 'cant play 3 games in a row ever' Delph, they get Ndidi and Tielmans for maybe half. Brentford get Eriksen on a free, we move for Dele. Wolves got an "over the hill" Moutinho for £5m, still 100x better than £25m Gomes. Iwobi much improved under Lamps, but no one is paying £35m for him whilst WHam find Soucek for £10/15m. Etc etc etc

It is slightly worrying that we are trying to loan these players we are linked with but no clubs are interested in lending only hard cash and inflated prices at that. If we do get any loans in I can see them being complete dross surplus to clubs requirements but we will be so desperate to get bodies in we won’t have much of a choice but to take the gamble
