Everton Summer Transfer Thread - 2022

I'm not sure about that, I don't think, if we go down Everton will be more attractive a proposition than Blackburn. We are a team in a tailspin and Blackburn have shown this season that they are capable of having a run at promotion. The only thing that could have made us a bigger draw were the wages we paid. I think those days are over if we go down. If we continue with our profligate ways the EFL won't be long in docking us points.
Also Blackburn will want top dollar for him in transfer fees

Lad if we go down we will still be favourites for promotion next season even if we played rondon in goal all season and Michael keane up front

This is a wind up isn't it? As crap as they look, and they do look crap, this team are far better than what we will be left with in the championship after the cost cutting and blood letting which would be forced upon us during the summer. I don't believe we would even make the play offs should we be relegated. Perhaps another relegation fight in a different division is what we can look forward to.

Wrong. We will likely only lose DCL, Richarlison, Pickford, and Allan. What’s left of our teams would still have enough quality to get back up.

So? Doesn’t mean in reality we are which is what potential transfers look at, not the odds on our success.
No one knows what the reality is going to be once we get relegated but Newcastle got relegated and then got promoted with 100 points easy peasy and dominated that league

We will lose lots of players but we will probably still keep the likes of Tom Davies, Patterson, Mykolenko, Godfrey, Holgate, Gray, Gordon, Townsend, Begovic, Simms then promote a bunch of talent from the under 23’s. We will also spend money on some experienced players from the sales of richarlison, dcl, Allan and Pickford to strengthen the squad and we will also be able to loan some decent youth prospects from the prem.

All in all we will probably still have the best squad on paper in the championship when the season starts.

The issue we have always had is that having the best squad on paper means absolutely nothing if the players don’t play as a team. There is no guarantee that the squad we assemble in the championship will play well as a team in the championship but we would still be favourites based on the squad of players we will have.

Yes, you will be the SKY Championship babes IF you go down. Look forward to having Saturday kick offs changed to Monday nights (usually 5 mins after you bought that away ticket to Middlesbrough ?)

Fixed, cant believe youve given up

Jesus christ, you're fun.
No mate, just a realist, if you look at my posts over the years I think I'm not the most pessimistic on here, but, this squad would be bullied every week in the championship. If we go down and I sincerely hope we don't, we will find it difficult to come up at the first or even the second attempt. If we stay up, we have to accept that for a few seasons at least, mid table is the best we can expect and we desperately need to lower our wages and address our horrendous season on season losses, before we can begin to improve.
