Where are the credible links suggesting another club is interested in any of our CBs?

I want Michael Keane to leave, but I don't think signing a backup LB is a sensible way to generate interest in ANY of our CBs.

As before: bigger problems elsewhere + limited funds = sort out CMs first please.

I think personally Mina or Keane have suitors.

Name me three left footed right backs currently in the league.
Name 3 left footed right backs in the history of the game.
not short term coverage, but players who played the majority of their games at RB.

I don't think I can (without the help of the internet).

I would love a left sided CB with pace but with all our positions of need I put midfield and forward areas as more pressing. At least we have CBs even if two of them aren't up to standard.
We have Tarkowski whoisn up to the job and Keane occasionally plus Mina when fit...not often.

A new CB who can play FB would be a very good idea.

That's immaterial. There are more people comfortable on their right than left.

The wrong-footed FB offers the chance to avoid getting pressed towartd the touchline and into safety fr the opposition. It also allows more angles going forward. It can also be used to effect if you play inverted FBs putting a FB in the cntral areas on their stronger foot.

Lamaprd has been starved of options in defence, and playing inverted FBs could add effectiveness to our weak CM area.

In fact, using an inverted wrong-footed FB could allow Patterson to be played ahead of such a FB as it's easier to get back behind the ball for the FB in central areas than if they get up the pitch in the opposition half.

Put a pin in this one dave, you're talking bobbins. Left footed right backs are rarer that rocking horse excrement which makes your musings an impratical fantasy.

So you can't.
I haven;t even given it any thiugh because it's not an issue. Many others have played wrong-footed for tactical purposes.

We need variety and ways of setting up at the back that improves our CM and also aids our attack.

Imagine Mykolenko cutting insoide and unleashing that left foot from 30 yards or so.

I've explained that. Right footed left backs predominate because right footed / handed people in the popualtion are predominant. It's just a statistical thing not a barrier to using them on a football pitch.

Why if its such a good idea isn't this happening week in week out in the league.

Nkounkou is really bad defensively...and godfrey whilst can do a job at left back, left wing back is not a good position for him...not good enough with the ball. As emergency cover I would have godfrey for sure, but a bad injury to Mykolenko and potentially having to play godfrey for months there is not good for our survival.
He has played about 20 games in his career. If he is really bad defensively (for the 20 games he has played) then we should be coaching him.

It’s a signing that means Lampard doesn’t instantly have to change his formation if mykolenko is injured - hoping it bodes well that we are able to sign squad ‘cover’ as there are obviously gaping holes that are crucial.

ok. that being said why continue to argue it would be a good thing because honestly, it's never going to happen and none (of sufficient quelity) exist to purchase for that role.

We're not taking an international left back (and honeslty one of our better players of late) and re-training them to play at right back.

This is a non-starter...
