If we did sell Pickford and DCL which players would you want Thelwell to bring in as replacements?

No idea on a goalkeeper tbh or a striker, I think any striker coming in would need to be someone with a bit of a track record at some level.

Its very hard to judge players in the Dutch league tbh, I always think the jump from there to the PL is too much, they need to go somewhere else first.

And then instead of paying 20m you pay 50m

Agreed. The trick is going to be for Thelwell to bring in the money from sales and them both to agree on the player profiles.

As much as I would like us to have as many u23s as possible in the 11, you're correct to have experience in the spine with Pickford, Mina, Doucoure and DCL.

I just wonder though if Pickford with 2 seasons left is going to extend his contract and also if DCL is going to have recurring quad issues.

You can usually tell to an extent how mixed the bag is going to be I think. The goal poachers who do well there never do well here is the big one and Sinisterra isn't that.
