I think we should try for him mate, I noticed pre season and again today he seems to have been pushed out of the left hand side of a 3 in a 4-2-3-1 under the new manager which is not really his best position as he is better a bit further forward than that normally.

If DCL goes he'd be my first choice to replace.

Hes on at least 75k a week and is actively being replaced. By next season he could be 4th or 5th choice which makes him expensive to have.

And in that scenario he's still better than Gomes and Gomes is still on bigger wages. So Gomes has to leave first.

Yes, that's my thinking too. Bring in 2 DMs ( so we have a bit of depth) and we can default to a flat back four... and get rid of Keane.

True, but he's never been used as an outright CF, or even a false 9, so it's an unknown quantity.

All I can say with conviction is he's not a wide forward by any stretch of the imagination.

I can’t see it personally. It’s not easy playing up front for us because we have no creativity and never have control of the game. We need someone who’ll battle and give defenders a tough time because we just don’t have the players to be teeing people up all the time. Unless he’s turned over a very new leaf I just can’t imagine dele doing that job.
