I don't want him, we need players with a touch of a CV to get us some goals otherwise we are going down, we can't be blowing 30m on young players with 3 goals to their name.

We need players that are ready right now not in 4 years time

Morning all, more of the same in todays round up….

Hang in there boys and girls and try and be nice to each other, it’s a cruel world out there and bloo on bloo hate just ain’t cricket…..

Dominic King of The Daily Mail has a report on why Tuchel wants Anthony Gordon, and some of the snippets suggests that he’s a player Tuchel really admires.

He says that Tuchel noticed Gordon during Everton’s 1-0 win against Chelsea last season. Tuchel was taken by his fearless attitude, his speed and the persistence that went with his talent. He saw a player who he felt he could work with.

Tuchel made a note of Gordon when he came up with the assist to Everton’s last gasp equaliser at Stamford Bridge last season, but the return fixture was the decisive one.

Dele Alli has been spotted in Istanbul as he closes in on leaving Everton to join Turkish Super Lig giants Besitkas, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Guardian journalist reported via his personal Twitter account late on Wednesday night (24 August) that Alli, 26, has landed in Turkey with his agents and will undergo a medical in the coming hours.

Everton are going to get an unexpected windfall from Chelsea somehow deciding that £60m is a fair price for Anthony Gordon and The Times reckon a fair whack could go to Blackburn for Chilean international Ben Brereton Díaz, who scored 22 Championship goals last season and has already found the net twice in 2022/23.

The Toffees are said to be ready to pay £12m but Blackburn want £15m for a striker who has just one year left on his contract and is also attracting interest from Leeds. Alternatively, he could sign a pre-contract agreement with a European club in January.

Everton have been searching for a striker and they have scanned the Premier League and the Championship in search of a competent striker capable of doing the job in absence of Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Southampton striker Che Adams has been on the radar of the Toffees.

Apart from Adams, Everton are looking at Ben Brereton Diaz of Blackburn Rovers. Adams comes with Premier League experience which could make him the preferred target but signing the 26 year old is not going to be an easy task.

As per journalist Ben Jacobs, Saints forward Adams continues to be on Everton’s radar. Southampton will not entertain any loan offers and value him at £25 million. From Hassenhuttl’s comments it seems that it will take more than £25 million to test Southampton’s resolve and in the end it still might not be enough as the Austrian manager seems determined to keep the 26 year old.

With the potential sale of Anthony Gordon looking more and more likely, it means Frank Lampard could have some serious funds to enter the transfer market before the window closes.

Asked at the weekend if he had made clear to his club’s owner Farhad Moshiri he wants and NEEDS a striker, he replied bluntly: “Yeah.” And he repeated that theme on Tuesday evening after the EFL Cup win at Fleetwood, when he said: “Look, it’s clear and obvious we need to improve in the final third, and we need to strengthen there - it’s no secret

Talks with Gana have been ongoing for more than a fortnight now, with Everton frequently reassured by his club Paris Saint-Germain that the deal, a free transfer in essence, will happen. But it hasn’t yet, because of a severance payment the midfielder feels he’s owed, and the latest reports suggest terms of the deal may have to be re-negotiated, or scrapped altogether.

Alan Myers does not see Everton making an official announcement to sign Idrissa Gueye this week with the move not yet finalised.

The Toffees are still keen on bringing the midfielder back to the club, but that move is not understood to be the priority, as things stand.

With problems in finalising the deal for the former Evertonian Gueye, Everton have turned their midfield attentions towards an alternative, as they cast their eye over James Garner. He’s a Merseyside born midfielder with a touch of class, who’s made three appearances for United. But he shone while on loan for promoted Nottingham Forest over the past season and a half, and United are reported to have set an asking price of around £15m, which would be in Everton’s price range, but there could be competition from Spurs and Forest, which makes for a tricky deal.

Mohammed Kudus: Another target in a different position…and another where there have been lengthy discussions with the player’s club, Ajax, and Everton were convinced they had a deal to sign the 22-year-old Ghana international on loan for the season. The wide player or number 10 was due to travel to Merseyside for a medical and the contract formalities, but at the 11th hour it seems his Dutch club pulled the club, after Manchester United resurrected their interest in Ajax winger Anthony. Boss Alfred Schreuder, who replace Erik ten Hag at the Amsterdam club, explained the stance when he said: “I think he should not leave. You can see that he is important. We need a lot of good players.”

In talks with Chelsea over Gordon, the name of 21-year-old striker Armando Broja has been mentioned several times, though it is thought he is not top of the list that Lampard has presented to the Goodison club. He could be used as a sweetener though, with Conor Gallagher also mentioned in a potential loan deal. Lampared IS a big fan of the midfielder, and would take him on loan if available, but the negotiations are far from straightforward with other clubs interested.

Diaz: Reports last week credited the Toffees with an interest, and Fabrizio Romano has revealed in his Daily Briefing today that the Chilean is an option for Frank Lampard.

But Sharpe writes that a deal is not close. He goes on to mention that Lampard ‘would prefer to secure a more Premier League proven option’ and that Anthony Gordon’s links to Chelsea could ‘further increase Everton’s need for reinforcements’, but that Brereton Diaz only remains an option at this point.

Trevor Chalobah’s representatives have been contacted by the likes of Everton, Leeds United, Nottingham Forest, and Southampton, with all four clubs interested in signing the 23-year-old from Chelsea if the Blues do decide to allow the defender to leave in the late stages of the transfer market. AS Roma and Inter Milan are also monitoring his situation. (90min)

Tottenham are still “very interested” in signing Everton ace Anthony Gordon, according to Daily Star journalist Paul Brown. He said:“Tottenham are one to watch on Gordon because they came in for him earlier in the window and they’re still very interested, so it would not surprise me if Spurs got into the mix before the end of the window.” (GIVEMESPORT)

GOT transfer mystics for the next few days.

What's the minimum expectation for incoming players?

For me, if Gordon stays, anything less than two forward players and one DM would be a bit of a disappointment. Ideally I'd also like an attacking midfielder to replace Dele.

If Gordon leaves, add a prime quality winger to that list
