Guessing its the fact Gakpo, like Sarr at Watford would need the money or a large chunk up front, Chukwueze is loan with a view to a perm deal next summer

Gomes has probably been the worst of that bunch tbh. Massive disappointment and a liability in every sense of the word.

I'd be pretty shocked if that's a number at 38m that we absolutely have to pay. I'd guess 30m with some add ons and even that 30m is probably spread.

Yep I’d take that, I’d be happy with a creative midfielder/winger tbf. But I’m easily pleased!

Who is getting Gakpo for £25m? Last I heard they turned down about £21m, saying it was about £17m short.

I really liked the theoretical Gomes, with good ball control and a variety and subtlety of passes. The real one, who actually turns up at games, is a crushing disappointment and serious liability. Agree that he's the worst of the three.

One of the best descriptions of a player I’ve seen that. It honestly hurts my brain trying to work out how someone who can be theoretically so good is in reality so painfully bad.
