Quite the opposite actually, it's around £100m and their annual turnover is around £180m so they actually have a fair bit of wiggle room, I was quite surprised at how small their wage bill is.

Interesting. When was that figure reported, before the current spree? Also got to factor in that if they have torn up the wage structure for the likes of Kamara some of the existing guys on more frugal wages might start knocking on the door. Plus, wages aside, between Ings, Digne, Coutinho and now Carlos it's probably north of £100m in transfer fees for guys heading towards 30 and unlikely to have much resale value.

Get Tarkowski in for free, a player that Frank wants. Keane offski for £15m. Job done.

For me the main reason to get Tarkowski is this. He's been an admirer for a while (so reports say).
If Frank thinks he's the right man to sure up the back line then I'm in.

I could live with this one. Oy got 1 more year left on his contract I think. So no brainer if somebody is willing to pay actual money.

Telegraph linking us with Maxwel Cornet from Burnley, be has played LWB, LM and RM at Burnley, he has a £15m release clause ( some places reporting it as £17.5m) because of their relegation. West Ham are supposed to be interested as well.

I think he is decent, but could only see us signing him if we sell someone.

With that we would need CB, DM, CM, FW

i think thats achievable. Tarkowski being free would be a big help to achieve this.

Cornet is absolute dross. He was poor in France and the 9 goals for Burnley is an anomaly, hes never scored that many or even close to the 1 in 3 ratio in his career...

If we sell Gray and need a wide player we have to bring in Brennan Johnson. Failing that a Sulemana or Doku....just a direct quick player u21.

Well, I like Gray more than any other of our wide forwards (except Richie, obs), although like many positions, not a high bar, and given our iffy record of acquisitions, I'd rather get someone to replace him in first, and then sell, to be honest.

In 252 games for Lyon he scored 51 goals and got 29 assists.

Hence: a goal or assist every 3.15 games. Not bad.

Plus he’s done well at Burnley.
